We dont really need the money from the sale right now. If he wants to go then Im sure theres buyers in the Summer. Moving to Rennes as well? Jeepers why would he bother. Could be playing in the French 2nd league next year ffs. Surely stick about for 6months and enjoy your crack at the Champions League as its not likely hes going to experience ever again in Rennes.

He'll bully his way to top spot over the next year regardless, once he stops moping about like a big depressing *.

That’s not the point you initially made though, is it? You stated we’d only have one recognised striker, which we wouldn’t.

Would you rather wait, sell Kyogo in the summer and have a brand new striker up top going into possibly our biggest games of next season (CL qualifiers) in August?

There’s no right time to do it, but Kyogo has been far from his best for long spells this season and the league is as good as won already. Realistically we’re up against it in terms of going further in the CL either too (unless we get a very favourable draw). So it’s arguably a far better time to make a move and give the new lad time to settle.

Must be pretty desperate to leave if hes rushing to go to Rennes to fight relegation instead of playing knock out champions league football

We’ll not see another Kyogo finisher for a long time. He’s worth more than 10 million to the team as it stands. Honestly gutted if this is true.

Yes its a large part of the point I made as it constitutes what I meant by a terrible piece of business. We have Adam Idah as the only recognised striker on the books. Not counting youth players or Johnny Kenny who's played about 15 minutes for us. Summer is obviously preferable as being able to train and have a pre-season with a club is a huge advantage. The league is not even close to being won. 13 points is a great advantage but with 45 points still to be played for, I'm not accepting its a done deal. We still have a lot of work to do. And I'm pretty sure a striker is an important part of that. I'd argue it's the worst possible time we could sell him and it's probably the worst window in the entire time he's been there to sell him.

To answer your question, yes I'd rather wait until the summer, I think it would be madness to think otherwise.
