Heartbreaking for the *man of small stature*. CL hat trick taken away by small margins. Gutted man.

Was good tonight. Shame he never got a goal that stood.

Weird time to release that but there has been a lot of noise around him leaving.

If he's going, Kvistgaarden has to be brought in immediately.

If we sell him now we need to spend good money on a striker and not just someone to be back up to Idah who I still think is miles off it. Personally I don't care that he's 30, I still think he's worth more to us than £10m. I'll be devastated to see him go.

Why exactly calm down ? Are you content with having one reliable striker.

Transfer window: Japanese striker Furuhashi very close to Rennes
According to our information, the Breton club is about to strengthen its attack with the arrival of Japanese international Kyogo Furuhashi from Celtic

Stade Rennais has decided to accelerate to strengthen its front line. Japanese striker Kyogo Furuhashi, who has been followed for several weeks, is about to settle down in Brittany. According to our information, an agreement has just been reached between Rennes and Celtic Glasgow for a transfer that should amount to 12 million euros.

The 30-year-old probably played his last match with the Scottish club, this Wednesday, January 22, in the Champions League against Young Boys Bern (1-0). Replaced a quarter of an hour before the final whistle, he should come to strengthen Jorge Sampaoli's team in the coming days

Cant believe the club would let him go mid season while still in the Champions League

He's not looked like his usual self, no smiles.

Absolutely gutted if he is going. And someone please make it make sense, he goes there and Jota who hasn't exactly lit the heather alight is coming here. Talk about a wonkey deal.

This would be the absolute worst piece of January business I've ever witnessed if we let him go. Half way through a season, still in all competitions and only 1 recognised striker on the books? So stupid it simply can't be real.

Just as well that window opens both ways and we’re allowed to sign players as well as sell them then. Who knew.

Jota coming the other way. Softens the blow slightly.

Surely means there's a replacement lined up.

Playing Maeda there would defeat the purpose of strengthening the left side.

I love him and he's been a great servant but getting 10m + Jota would be great business. Take that money and sign a replacement and we are laughing.

Yeah because it's really easy bringing in a brand new striker in the middle of a season and having them instantly settle and be as good as or better than Kyogo isn't it? What a weird point of view. Who on earth wants to potentially massively weaken their team at this stage of a season.
