Harsh red. If var looks at that then why not the pen on him in the 1st half. Stonewaller.

 

Wonder if we see him as our ST for the remainder of the season if Kyogo leaves and Jota comes back.

 

You honestly think we'd sell him and not bring in another striker?

I'd expect (and hope) for a striker to come in, but with the way we play under Rodgers I'd be interested to see Maeda there

 

Been wanting to see Daizen in there for ages mate, not necessarily all the time but even just on occasion.

Think most of us have been moaning about Kyogo not benefitting in Rodgers' system though, so I don't think it's a major bombshell if we move him on and try something different. Don't think we should automatically panic at the thought of it.

 

That was a penalty, if it was Liverpool or the like they’d get it every time. Clipped Maeda’s heals and two hands in the back, what more do you need to do to get a penalty with a challenge from behind.

Was arguing that with my mates... For last 20mins of game particularly every contact on him was a professional foul... Think he just got frustrated by it and lashed out... Definitely a red, but the guy kneed him in the back twice leading into it, so personally I'd have sent off them both!

 

Nah mate, sorry, but it's a solidly deserved red! Lost his cool.and lashed out... Not sure why his was a red and the guy who elbowed kyogo off the ball was a yellow, but I'd have sent daizen off too with the video. I'd have sent the other guy off for fouling him too though, but maybe I'm just biased on that point...

 

Be gutted if he gets a 2 game ban, there was so little force in the kick out.
There is no way I would play Yang at Villa Park, as we will be on the back foot for a lot of the game. Would prefer someone with a bit of bite-Valle or Luke for me.

 

I still don't think it's a straight red, Meada was trying to get the ball, mind he was trying to get it through the muscle/bones of the YB player but still, it was an attempt at getting the ball

One of the worst VAR decisions I've seen. Ref saw it, gave a yellow. Why did the VAR feel the need to re-ref that? There wasn't studs, he never dived in, he was kicking in the direction of the ball. What were we meant to be looking at that deserved a red? * joke and if that's genuinely the level for a red in European leagues, then they're playing a different sport to us.

 

More clumsy than anything. Played his heart out and just a little bit of frustration got the better of him. Unfortunately in today's game it's a red.
