Maeda’s goal return is just one less than him it needs to be pointed out btw. Not as creative, but Maeda brings other qualities as well and is * peerless at them. And when he’s not here it harms the full team how much he sets the tempo off the ball. Without him we simply don’t work as hard never mind what he does himself.

This year Kuhn’s been the special player, the guy who does something different but Maeda on the other wing has been scoring.

What we need is the guys in the middle finishing and being more clinical, Idah and Kyogo have 20 odd between them, but they haven’t been doing that. The two first choice wingers are good, we need depth in they positions because the drop off when either are out is too much. But can’t say the guy on the opposite wing isn’t doing it.


Saying that, and this won’t happen, I’d sacrifice ma left nut to see AJ and Kuhn on the right, Tierney and Jota on the left. And just stick Maeda anywhere on the pitch to run like *. Anywhere

 

Aye was a very rare off night tonight, no idea if the early yellow affected him.

 

Yip very poor. Was hoping he'd get subbed for Idah and Kyogo put wide right.

 

Leipzig aside, I'm still waiting for him to explode in a game of great significance. Couple of disappointing games vs Rangers, Brugge, Zagreb and now tonight.

Might sound harsh but it's frustrating because he's obviously capable.

 

Thought he was quite good in the first half. I agree that he was awful in the second.

 

Thought he looked small and weak tonight.

 

Wonder if he's still coming back from injury. Very ineffective tonight

 

Put himself in a bad situation with that cheap booking.

 

Cracking player although off night for him but sometimes I think when he cuts in he either needs to be taking the shot earlier or slipping someone through.

 

We need more from him in these games to be honest, even when we were well on top first half he was barely in the game. Thought he could’ve hit his shot earlier the one chance he did have, has a tendency to try and beat one too many men before getting his shot away.

 

He was hiding in the second half.

However they were doing their best to snuff out the AJ/Kuhn passing combo in the second half which also cut down the time he had on the ball.

 

He was fuking rank and needs a kick up the *.

 

He was honking. Took too many touches first half when he cut inside and should have shot earlier. Then second half he never showed for Johnston. Never got in front of his man to receive a pass. He shrunk.

 

Second-half, he looked the same way he was last season. Needs to up it next week.

 

Been quite pish in the champ league since Leipzig

 

Hard to criticise him, he's been our best player this season.

Had a poor night but AJ passing to him was woeful too.
