If we are bringing anyone in then they need to be players that can hit the ground running and contribute straight away. Enough with the projects and gems.

Wednesdays result, dictates how most of business will be done bar, KT.

We still have that reactionary approach opposed to the proactive one.

Feel quite chilled about it all for a change. If we beat young boys this week we look set for a really good season.

We haven't looked as strong in recent weeks but think we got enough to hit our targets. If there is better value to be had in the summer and we splash some cash after a quiet January window then it's not necessarily a terrible thing.

I’m the same boat, but I do think we need two or three this window to freshen things up and keep the forward momentum (especially with CL qualifiers in mind).

If results go our way on Wednesday, I think we’ll see our recruitment really step up a few gears by the end of the week.

Have we not got CL qualifiers next season ?

If so, then we really need to add to the team in this window. If we don't, it'll be a weaker squad than now and we won't add anyone until we navigate them. If we do.

I only ask, as if that's the case it will likely be two.. as the carrot of playing CL could be big .. and also if it's a max of two then we're signing them and then leaving them out..

Or does KT count as club grown and we can add to on top of him?

It definitely shouldn't be dictating it from a financial perspective.

I'd agree though that I don't think we have fully altered our approach.

Thought it was 2 we had. That's not so bad but would still rather we had 2 decent options for each position in time for they matches, just incase.

KT, a powerful centre mid, another winger and a striker would be ideal.

Your allowed to make 3 changes to your squad so can swap out 3 players you named at the start of the league phase for three new ones, Welsh has left so that’s one space free, if Palma and Nawrocki go that would be three spaces.

I would almost say it should be dictating it from a financial perspective but in the sense that we have a very high guaranteed revenue this season and in addition to that a positive balance on player trading. That is important under FSR in that we will have significant head room to spend money this season. We do need to be mindful of wage bill carrying on to next season but in terms of transfer spend we should be spending a decent amount this month especially if there is a chance Kyogo goes.

There is actually a real chance to be smart about squad management between now and the end of the season given our strong league position. There is a chance to put in one or two youngsters to a few games with an otherwise normal starting 11 to see how they cope and if they may have a future.

We could also bed in new players so they are ready for next season and have them for a full preseason rather than repeat last summer.

If Valle is to leave then we will have no players on loan with us, so no having to pay out a fee to replace them or sign them permanently. Taylor is the only out of contract player who needs replaced.

Still not linked with any high quality DM #6, outside of very tenuous Endo links.
Lots of wingers, strikers and of course KT - which is great - but we desperately need a #6.

Hoping BR sees this as an issue, seems perhaps he doesn't...??

We’re more or less limited to three signings this window (due to CL registrations).

Personally I’d want them to be a winger, KT and a DM, but if Kyogo goes then one has to be a striker. In that scenario, we’d need to decide what is more of a priority; left back or defensive midfield. I’d argue we’d be best sticking with the status quo at left back for now, signing a DM and bringing KT back in the summer.

    Jorge Cadete coming back

At this point they've got nothing right so they start suggesting names

For long spells we all agreed this was the strongest squad for some time and results backed that up. The last 6 weeks or so we have had a dip in form. I don't think this means we suddenly don't have a strong squad and need wholesale changes but we need a freshen up. We need to sort out the LB situation now. We need a goalscoring striker in. Idah is nowhere near it and Kyogo is off the boil. I'd like to see an experienced midfielder to come in a la Aaron Mooy and give us an old head and experience in the centre of the park.

Aye. One of the more reputable members suggesting it.

    Can't see it, personally.
