We need to focus on the potential positives, we are getting someone of his class in the door.. would normally be out of our reach.. for no transfer fee.. it's worth the risk..

 

Whos desperate for him to be injured? People are rightly weary of his injury record when he'll be the highest paid player at the club.
If we managed to replace him with players similar to frimpong, juarnovic or Johnstons standard we wouldn't need to take that risk.

Celtic are closing in on a pre-contract agreement with Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney

They are also expected to explore the possibility of taking Tierney on loan until the end of the season, especially if they reach the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Celtic cannot register new signings for the current league phase of the Champions League, which ends on January 29. But they will be able to register new players for the knockouts next month, if they make it.

If Celtic do secure Tierney on loan this month, that could pave the way for Valle to join Como on until the end of the season instead.

Games played misleading as he's dropped by Arteta half the time!
Last 5 years, missed 94 games from very roughly 300 in total.
So that's 1 in 3 missed, or put the other way should be available for 40 games a year.


The big uncertainty are recent serious hamstring issues, a clean bill of health on that one and we are good to go.

Looks good to me. Knee fixed by surgery. No issue since. Hamstring was a rush back too early job. Can't wait to see him play.

May as well have KT in the building from now, getting up to speed with training and everything, even if he’s not gonna be playing, then have him ready to hit the ground running in February.

Think they've been trying for the loan. The actual pre contract is done but they'd like to announce it all at once. Arsenal might be arseholes and no allow it though or they'll want a silly amount as a loan fee hence the delay.
