Celtic have been linked with a number of big names in this window including a return of Kieran Tierney from Arsenal. Record Sport also exclusively revealed that the Scottish champions are ready to test Aston Villa's resolve over Louie Barry with an opening seven-figure bid. Asked about additions, Rodgers added: "We know exactly what we want to do. Up to this point the players have been very, very good but we know what we need and what we want."

 

We could really do with an upgrade in CM. We have decent players in there and plenty of numbers ,but if could manage to find one of real real quality it would take us up a level. Same at CB.
LB,CM, CB, LW, RW cover , ST over these next two windows .

 

Sounds like you’re unhappy and want a new team!!! We are plenty good enough for domestic, a couple for Europe would be good.

 

Well LB and LW are obvious.
The rest is to improve on what we have ,even though the options are pretty good in those positions , I think we should be looking to evolve and kick on to that next level. With the money we have no reason we can't upgrade the side.

 

If we qualify for the Champions League playoff, we can add two players, right?

 

We do need to hurry up a bit with the signings. Getting Tierney in this month would make a big difference

Barry looks class but I hope we aren't putting all our eggs into the one basket, Moro now injured and the links to Orjasaeter have gone very quiet.

 

Got a feeling the Barry one will happen along with KT.

2 weeks tomorrow window closes.

I thought we would sign 4 players this window looking unlikely but if we didn't sign anyone i wouldn't be to fussed.

 

This window was always going to be slow, for everyone in Europe with the new squad registration rules.
Confident we'll get three in still, but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't have any in till the 31st

 

What i don't get and I'm really not looking for an argument but what's wrong with being prepared and have a clear picture of what and who we want?

Yeah we've another couple of weeks and what's the rush etc.. but I ask why wouldn't you want players in and getting game time?

Some will say we are waiting and it takes time and some cases that's 100% correct but window after window we wait till the last second to get players in we 100% could have got in earlier if not for * around.

You're telling me Idah & McCowan this year were hard work signings? Norwich wanted rid and he wanted to come with Idah and McCowan cost peanuts and would have walked to Celtic Park

 

Rodgers literally said we're clear on what we want, yesterday..

 

Win/draw on Wednesday then I think we will see a couple. If we lose though and qualifying doesn’t look likely then I think we would just wait until the summer.

 

I think the difference between this year and last is there isn’t anywhere near as much pressure on this window. The team is in a much better place after a successful summer window.

I want the team improved but it’s important to get the right guys and the right deals too.

 

Pretty much this, most teams involved in Euro comps will not be moving players on until after the comps wind up.
