I don't even think he was at fault tonight anyway. Strange..

He has at times, but let's not pretend he's been perfect. He's definitely not getting to some shots that he would have in the past and he's not going to get any better. However, he's a great leader on and off the park and we are lucky to have him. Alot of his clean sheets this season have came due to him having next to nothing to do. He's let in a few goals recently that he should be saving or doing better with.

Which goal we conceded tonight do you think was age related?

As noted in commentary, he was down too early for their 2nd goal which deflected off Carter-Vickers. Poor positioning from him. I think Rangers first goal against us on the 2nd is the perfect example. Far too slow to get down and he'd never have let that in a few years ago. But make no mistake our defending was the issue tonight, not Kasper.

You are only as good as your last game in this business. Stats are stats, and they can be looked at in a number of ways, manipulated, and they can be quite misleading too. Don't you think our defence has been the prime reason for those stats you are talking about ? And if you are happy with Schemeichel conceding six goals to the Huns, three to Aberdeen and three again tonight, then fair enough, but I am not.

He will be 39 this year and won't be getting any better. Shouldn't we be seeing Sinisalo to what he is capable of ?

I'm not convinced Schemeichel will get a contract extension now

Did you watch the game? What chance did he really have for those goals?

Yes age was definitely not the issue tonight, if anything he went to ground too early for Vickers og.

There were loads of issues tonight but Schmeichel wasn't one of them nor has he been an issue this season so far. He's a very good goalkeeper.

I wouldn't blame him for any of the goals last night. What did concern me, was a few shots that went barely wide, he was rooted to the spot.

With the greatest of respect, what a load of reactionary nonsense.

Interesting you're in here slating Schmeichel who's been great all season and saved us a number of times in Europe, but raving about Yangs effort and end product last night, when it's the first time he's scored in * knows how long. Weird.

I largely agree with you, but I think he's the least of our worries at the moment.

There's always one of these type of guys on the forum, just being pedantic and obtuse for absolutely no reason.

First goal was a beauty and the third was a header, you could maybe argue he could do better with the second but that's all on Trusty and CCV for me.

It's not reactionary, it's a clear observation on Schemeichel since the Aberdeen Cup game, the two Hun games, and last night's game with Dundee.

I find it weird that posters like yourself can simply brush off the fact that Schemeichel has shipped six goals against the Huns, three against Aberdeen and three against Dundee, and simply put all the blame the midfield or the defence for losing these type of goals. A goalkeeper is the last line of defense, and its his responsibility to keep the ball out of the net, and Schemeichel shipping of goals in the last two months or so is becoming a concern. It does not help either that he is carrying a bit of extra timber and looks slow at getting down to corner shots.

I don't why you brought Yang into the equation either, when it has nothing to do with the subject matter.

It was Sutton in commentary who said "I think he's gone down too early there" for the own goal and folk hanging off that sentence

It was a freak goal but goalkeeping expert Chris Sutton said he was * so..

Some of the saves the guy has pulled off this season man :57:

Probably mixed him up there with Hart, my bad.:BR1:
But still, maybe could have done better for the first and should have came for the corner.

Aye, for me he went down naturally to save the cross, then the deflection takes it past him in the total wrong direction.. Sutton was talking pish there..
