He was awful tonight but aside from that and his debut I think he has been solid final included. Weird for the manager to publicly dig him out a touch disrespectful tbh...

    Think it's poor from Rodgers.

Other players have had mares as well and he hasn't done the same. Could have easily done it with Scales the other week..

I think its fair comment. He was rolling around a minute before holding his foot and then got ragdolled by a 21 year old a few seconds later. He should never be getting beat in the air from that position. He had a shocker tonight and the comments from Brendan were deserved. He needs to learn from tonight, put it behind him and concentrate on his performances.

Maybe its because Trusty came with a £6M tag, and Rodgers quite rightly expects Trusty to be stronger on the ball and stay on his feet at 6' 4', instead of getting pushed around like a big fucken *.
Rodgers took Trusty off in the Cup Final against the Huns because he was constantly passing the ball back and sideaways, and not providing an outlet. Scales provided the better outball, and most considered it a masterstroke on here.

Rodgers needs to settle on his best CB partnership, and stick with it, personally I think it is CCV and Scales for a lot of reasons.

You know, I'd forgotten about that.

I don't dislike him as a player but him getting bullied ahead of that second goal we conceded was just abominable. I literally can't believe a centre-half could get brushed aside like that. CCV needs to get him down the gym.

All these people moaning about trusty he didn’t have a great game aye! But why is no one slaughtering CCV he goes to ground for the 2nd goal when he doesn’t need to also! If he stays on his feet the boy has nowhere to go and isn’t getting that shot away which deflects off him

BR is renowned for his man management. If he thinks Trusty would respond better to public criticism than Scales then that'll be why he's done it.

Could motivate or have the opposite effect, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt he that he isn't just * on him for no reason.

Had a bad game it happens. If these players were not prone to some bad games they wouldn't be at Celtic he would still be at Arsenal.

I would stick with him next few games.

I think Rodgers was quite right to call him out. You just cannot be getting bullied by Simon Murray when you’re the size of Trusty. It can’t happen.

It was similar to Jullien against Dykes, but at least Dykes is a big lump of a guy.

What I will say though, is that if he’s slating Trusty like that, he should have done the same to Scales after the Ibrox match.

I agree with you though it may be how certain players respond. He may know Trusty won't mind or it may see him double efforts in training whereas not right for Scales.

    In theory though you're correct

I've no issue with Rodgers publicly saying he needs to do better, he'll have said the same to him privately. I don't think anything malicious was said either, it was just a quick 'yeah he needs to do better' when asked about it directly.

A couple of occasions now we've seen Trusty can be gotten at physically, we need to hope he finds a way to minimise that as much as possible.

He was right to call him out, as his mistakes lead directly to two goals..

Those are just the facts.. he has to keep him in the team now after saying what he said tho. Others haven't been criticised but have lost their place. He's criticised Trusty but now should let him show the improvement..

Trusty has been mainly solid too, got to trust BR on this one.

Is this not on Rodgers for selecting him though? Scales would have done better against Murray and the lad at the back post . I think trusty has been ok overall but can see him moving on in the summer hopefully

Trusty should be able to be stronger in those situations though.. CCV wasn't clean at all in his work either.. Dundee's top 2 were all over them and fair play to them..

But, it's clear Trusty is much better than Scales, it's not even close.. so Rodgers is correct to persevere with the CCV-Trusty partnership.

Scales has been done multiple times at the back post in the past.

That last night reminded me of when Starfelt used to have one of those games where something would happen and he would turn into a mess. Normally over forward getting in his face.

Trusty needs to be doing better at the 2nd and 3rd goals as they were so cheap. CCV had a rare off night too and Johnston wasn’t much better.

Murray isn't exactly skinny, though. He's a powerful player always has been.

Thays not to say trusty shouldn't be doing a lot better. I'm more concerned at him being out jumped by that donnelly.

You could see that coming a mile away after he stood on his foot etc. Completely got into his head.
