Yang Hyun Jun

Good to hear Rodgers talking him up, been clear to me for a long whole he's got the talent even though he's struggled to show it at times.

Bit of patience is the order of the day sometimes, got a feeling he'll be well worth the wait.

 

Glad to hear BR say, in not so many words, the guy doesn’t have a future here. Due to injuries he’ll be gone in the summer and unfortunately not sooner.

 

A goal for Hyunjun Yang tonight, are you happy with his contribution tonight?

Yes, bless him.

He gave everything in the game. I've got to say he's done about 100 hours shooting practice and he scores with a header! He's worked so hard at his game, bless him. He gives his all.

He had some good moments in the first half. He puts so much extra work in the training field. From then, I expect us to go on because we're good in those moments.

We’ve got to defend better

 

Done well did shift into position for that header, not an easy chance. Had some great moments but also some poor ones. Glad he got his goal.

 

If there's one thing I will say for him is that his attitude is absolutely spot on.

 

He's not ready for our first team yet.. works his * off I'll give him that but his end product needs so much work to be at our level

 

Something tells me about Rodgers comments he loves his attitude, thinks he’s decent but will never be good enough to be a first choice pick for Celtic. If he is thinking like that I completely agree with him.

 

There were far worse than Yang tonight imo.

Took his goal well.

 

He showed he had end product tonight. Works his tail off for the team. He is still learning and improving, and has a heart, and he can't be faulted for effort, unlike some others out there who crumble under pressure.

 

He’s a trier but simply not good enough, unfortunately.

 

He's never making it here.. unfortunately because I do like him.

 

He's trying his best but I think the moment he fell flat on his face while running with the ball sums up his time here

 

That goal was a far bigger contribution than a few others contributed tonight. If every player had Yang's attitude and effort we'd probably have left Dundee with 3 points.

 

And if they all had Yang's ability we'd be in a battle for top 6.

Every squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Contributions judged over the season are well below what we'd expect from a winger.

 

I just find it strange that after a game like tonight, you target one of the few players who got pass marks and scored a decent goal, when there are several players who were awful and cost us the 3 points. Yang is a decent player with an end product that leaves alot to be desired at times. I think the last few games he's done a not bad job in place of the injured Daizen. I'm not saying he's a world beater or an outstanding player. Chances are he won't be here long term. But our backline were the issue tonight, not Yang.

 

I could name multiple players who were pish tonight and way worse than Yang. Idah being one. Trusty being another.
