I love a cup of tea and I drink a lot of it. Some prefer coffee but I prefer tea with milk and 3 sugars. What would you do if a close relative made you a cup of tea and put honey in there instead of sugar, how would you react?

Tea and coffee is obviously a personal choice.

I'm just out of hospital and a nurse came in one night and asked if I wanted a drink. I said coffee please, milk and two.

This guy must have put 8 spoonfuls of coffee and a spit of milk in this cup. Worst cup of coffee I've ever had.

Same with tea, it has to be just right.

Back when I was younger before the internet, mates got together in the same room. If you were the host you made the tea. I made a great cup of tea but I deliberately * it up so I would never be asked again.

Coffee. Only 2 cups or I get migraines.

    Love the stuff especially fresh.

Don't mind honey in it either. Honeys good at getting phlem off your chest.

Feel free to chat about anything in this thread mate, it’s the thread for making a cup of tea and chatting basically. Unless it’s breaking any rules about ‘on topic’ but I think the mods are cool and I certainly don’t mind.
It’s not the most interesting thread I could create, hope you are doing well

That’s clever and I think is quite common for folks to deliberately * up a cup of tea just so they don’t get asked constantly.
And I’m the same, it’s got to be a lovely cup of tea else it’s a waste of tea in my opinion and can be quite upsetting when you were expecting a lovely one but get let down.

Yorkshire tea for me btw. Thing is, I have a big mug but my tea just doesn’t taste as good unless I use a regular sized one. It may be the discrepancy between ratio of water and milk that becomes distorted by using a bigger mug to hold it

    Without a doubt mate.

There was four of us, close mates and we would spend a night here and there in each others houses, smoking and playing cards.

We all tried to make being in our house as * as possible. Crap tea, burnt toast and irate parents :giggle1:

My cousin actually charged us all for a bit of toast once, made us chip in for the full loaf.

Another night he ducked into the bathroom with a 3 litre tub of ice cream so he wouldn't have to share it and fell asleep in the bath while eating it. Melted all over him.

    Good times.

    Those were the days.

Mocha is the only hot drink for me. Tea is rotten.
