Gustav Isaksen would reportedly require some "sweet talking" to sign for Celtic with the winger being pushed towards the Lazio exit.

The Hoops were touted with a move for the forward in the final days of the summer transfer window with a loan move with an option to buy reportedly knocked back. But reports in Italy suggest the Scottish Premiership leaders maintain their interest in the Danish international in the winter window. However, La Lazio Siamo Noi report that the 23-year-old "isn't convinced about going to Scotland" and would require "sweet talking" from the Scottish champions to make the move to Glasgow's east end

Yet, Isaksen may have limited options in the Eternal City with The Laziali reporting that he could be "pushed" towards the exit by the powerbrokers a the Serie A heavyweights. Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito is keen to cash in on the forward and the arrival of Arijon Ibrahimovic "could spell the end" of Isaksen’s time in the Italian capital.

The teenager has signed on loan from Bayern Munich with Lazio holding a £6.7m option to buy in the summer. It is noted that "exits are needed" to balance the books and Lotito is keen to "speed up" Isaksen's exit to kickstart a clearout

Il Messaggero noted last week that Lazio were looking for a £12.5million fee for the forward. However, they are said to be open to a loan with option to purchase at the end of the campaign

Sounds like there's still a chance.

But would appear that he'd rather go literally anywhere other than Scotland. Which isn't ideal...:56:

Don’t know anything about this or any comments he has or hasn’t made, but my general rule is I wouldn’t bring in anyone that needs convincing.

I don't want that at the club full stop. The opportunities we offer speak for themselves.

Exactly. If he doesn't fancy -7 at Dingwall on a frozen pitch then he can GTF.

Watched a few highlights of him and he does have quality though. Would take us up a gear.

However he's primarily a RW who likes to cut in and would expect to start so it wouldn't make sense with Kuhn still here.

I suspect we might be keeping tabs on him if we lost Kuhn in the summer. I know we were meant to be interested last summer but at that point we probably weren’t confident Kuhn was going to be a mainstay in the team.

I think it may be we fancied the boy from Antwerp and injuries have totally scuppered that move. Even going into January we were going to go down that route but he’s pulled up again and that has left us going down our list to guys we have been keeping an eye on such as Sondre O (Norwegian) and Louie Barry.

The one for me we should have just went and got regardless was Kvistgaarden, as he could comfortably play in any of our three forward positions. Kyogo has also shown in the last couple of games he can be effective in those roles too in terms of setting up chances as well as scoring a few.
