It was excellent play held the ball up well spun his defender and put in a great cross for Kyogo to head home. Another good game from him all round yesterday.

Showing his class the past month or so, looks comfortable and confident on the ball and gets his foot in.

Still think too many players feel the need to pass to McGregor before playing forward, he’s breaking that barrier. No coincidence we are a bigger threat from corners too due to his deliveries.

Agree with many, his song is dire. Wouldn’t take much to make up something better.

I liked the way we played at the weekend with Engels dropping very deep at times to get on the ball, almost like we were playing with 2 DMs at points

Need to do that more in games where McGregor is isolated or man marked

Agree at times he took the ball in as expected but turned his man rather than playing the bounce pass back to the centre half.

We are very predictable with our build up as the huns worked out. Engles has the bravery and quality to change it up which is desperately needed.

I actually think that has been the biggest thing in this run of improved performances. Engels is now playing like someone who wants the ball, he pops up all over happy to take it and try make something happen or even just recycle the ball and move to space to receive again.

Earlier in the season I wonder if he was trying too hard to play the system to the detriment of his natural game? He used to be pretty anonymous in games when he had his down spell but he is contributing a lot to each game now. There is likely still more to come from him, I think he may ping one in from out the box and a couple will follow quickly.

Aye, a wee bit like O’Riley was when he joined at first - some brilliant games and you can see the quality there. Have no doubts things will click for him and he’ll end up going up yet another level, but his performances since mid December have been very impressive

An alternative song for Arne Engles -

To the tune of Ecuador by Sash - about 15 seconds in.

His name is name is Arne Engles
He came to play for Celtic
    He wears the 27
    And cost 11 million

    His name is Arne Engles
He came to play for Celtic
    He wears the 27
    And cost 11 million

    He hates the * rangers
    And loves the Glasgow Celtic
    We love you Arne engles
    He bleeds for Glasgow Celtic

    Repeat

I will of course take all royalties if it makes it to the stands but also deactivate my account in shame and embarrassment if it doesn’t.

You've clearly thought about this and not thought about it at the same time.

    Sash....OK then...

Might aswell just start......"he's not old but he is beautiful..."

Kind of a career crossroads for the boy. Accept the BR criticism, go to states with a determination to address it, and come back a better player. Or just saunter along and watch a promising career fizzle out.
I did like what little I saw of him last season, got stuck in a few times.
