You just wish he’d put in that chance in the first 10 mins. It’s wild he’s so gifted physically and yet… he doesn’t seem to use it

Actually thought he was good first half, far more involved and his link up play much better. Looked a lot more comfortable with Kyogo alongside him. That being said he simply has to be scoring with chances like he had and second half he was pretty much non-existent.

He needs something to fall his way and pretty soon.

I’m a bad person to ask because i thought 9m should get you far more but i think he’s absolutely hopeless.

Jordan White off their bench would give u more as a target man. He’s not strong, he doesn’t make it stick, he’s not good in the air, he has poor movement. I can’t believe so many were going wild for him last year.

I think getting subbed for Kenny on his debut when we're at 1-1 says it all. You want to see him bustin a nut for us and I felt like he diminished as the game went on.

Willing him to come good. Seems to struggle with lots of basics that'll be hard to correct. Really, really want to be wrong. Hopefully the £9m deal is heavily structured.

Honestly I'm not sure we're seeing anything different from here this season than last. Has his moments and qualities which he shows now and then but definitely not worth 9m. Really disappointed with how the board played this in the summer tbh, when it became clear that Norwich wanted 9m minimum we should have gone elsewhere rather than fannying around trying to get the price down only to pay over the odds in the end anyway.

As supporters we need to have more foresight. A lot of our support thought we should sign him up on the strength of the goal against the huns at Hampden-anyone who saw him play for Ireland would tell you he's a very limited footballer. One of the first things I said once we'd settled down after winning the cup was that I hope we didn't sign him because he's nowhere near good enough for champions league. As a third striker absolutely but 4 million is his value, not 9. This isn't player bashing - we all want him to be the player he was brought in to be. Unfortunately, that was never going to happen.

If rodgers wanted him, then glad they paid up. They made that mistake before. So in essence he's not worth £9m but if rodgers believes a couple years he'll make him that then fair enough. Glad we went in for him, if only to give lawell panic attacks :56:

Did not mind signing him but once it got over 6m we should have looked elsewhere.
I’ve been very vocal on the board not backing us enough but they really did for this guy, just unfortunately he’s not worth it.

I'm all for giving everyone a chance but his performances have been poor and it might just be the case that we've signed a dud

Agree. For £9m we shouldn't be signing a player that needs a run of games or much development. At the very least he should be much better than has showed. Seems a little petulant as well. Won't be surprised of Kenny gets ahead of him now.

Holds the ball up well, can play on the half turn. And his reactions are incredible. Even if he * his first touch up he rescues it.

Had every physical attribute a CF needs.

Give Brendan time to work his magic and * be Ireland number 9 for years. KTF

I think hea capable of a one off season where he bangs in 30 goals as the main striker.

But overall I don't see him as someone who really improves much from where he currently stands and that type of season will.be a total one off and not repeated.

Dunno, maybe I'm being blinded by his fee and it is impacting my view on his foundations where I don't think there is enough there that suggests he can improve to level to match the fee

The flip side of that though is he was clearly Rodgers first pick so had we not have gotten him the board would have been slated. I didn't think he was worth the money we paid but if it is who the manager wanted then we can't have it both ways
