Backed him for ages but so many false dawns with him I 've kinda given up on him making it with us, I'm just gonna enjoy the flashes of the good stuff he produces while he is still here. Fine game today

 

If he doesn’t make much of an impact for the rest of the season I would maybe send him out on loan …

There’s something there, but I don’t know if he needs to be a starting 11 player throughout a season with a bit less pressure to develop more.

Bet you a fiver he gets at least 20 starts next season.

 

Much better today but still don't think he's good enough. Weak as *, no end product and not much of a football brain to speak of. Feel like in a full season as a regular starter he probably wouldn't even manage double figures for goal involvements.

Sutton was impressed with him today but I didnt think there was any end product from him. Went by his man a few times but struggled to produce anything despite seeing a lot of ball.

 

Again was fine but his stats are brutal for a winger. Needs to contribute far more

 

In the second half there was a few times when he was attacking and seemed to just lack that bit of confidence to keep going rather than playing a safe pass.

 

Imagine he wasn't already a Celtic player and we were linked with him this window.

We'd all be saying "1 goal and a couple of assists in about 50 appearances? No thanks."

 

I like him a little, but he's really not doing it for us.
23 in may and not seeing him kicking on at all.
A spell last season just before the red card, he looked like the run of games was helping him

Maybe even today, you saw a better game from him and perhaps he needs the run.
I'm inclined to start him against Dundee to see if he does take the chance.

But, I'm genuinely thinking we may have signed the wrong Yang (we've done this before). Another right winger in the same seasons (21-23) at gangwon, with the same name, had 12 goals in 36 appearance before being signed by Spurs.
Ours was 9 in 71 games for them.

It's a genuine chance we signed the wrong one again.

Twice today he was clean through on goal and twice he completely missed the ball granted one of them he got a penalty for

 

I thought he was decent

 

Thinking on this more, Yang could have been a target by Ange - has the hallmarks of it. But he signed in the summer that Ange left - did we trip down that route thinking we was just gonna keep tapping in to what Ange did, only to stupidly pick the wrong one?

Interesting that Ange then goes on to sign the other right winger called Yang from gangwon the following season for Spurs.

Truly could be we was reading off an old wishlist he had left behind and we literally assumed he wanted the slightly older one rather than the younger one as we would have assumed the older one being more established and ready.

Absolutely zero end product. That’s 3 games on the bounce, he’s done nothing to make anyone think there’s a player there, surely!!!???

 

If he had ANY composure in the box he would be a good player for us. Does a lot of good in the build up and can beat a man.
Couldn't finish his dinner.

 

Won't be good enough because of his well documented end product problems but credit where it's due...we needed him today just for his ability to take on a man. As much as I love Maeda, he'd probably have struggled on that pitch today.
