I was young but almost as soon as he broke into the team he became my favourite player. Proper old school winger who isn’t just tricky but has a good footballing brain and knows when to beat a man or just play a 1-2 etc. going off the clips this lad seems to be very similar. Think he’d be perfect on the left with kuhn on the right. Obviously maeda would get a lot of time there too. If kyogo was to go though I’m sure maeda could be used up too there also and have this lad start out wide.

 

I knew he was a winger and agree we need better than Maeda but a better LB than Taylor and 1 or preferably 2 CM with the ability to stop the opposition playing straight through us and protect our back line would be more of a priority for me. That's just me though. KT is obviously gonna be the LB an Rodgers doesn't even seem to think we need midfielders of the type I described.

Boy looks good, as did Yang in his highlight reels, and Holm aswell. Said it a million times, it's all well and good having the talent but you never know until they're here, whether they have the character to perform under the pressure here.

I'd definitely take him though, he looks perfect for our style.

You know what, I actually think mcgeady could have been born into the wrong time for his footballing career. If he was a player coming through now….he’d be protected so much more physically from tackles in today’s game. He’d suit this high pressing as his pace and stamina would help him around the pitch. And for the flair and technical ability he had, if he wanted to cut inside he’d do it easy. And he’d obviously do the 1cm shin pad

In demand Sondre Orjasaeter is fully aware of the emerging interest from Celtic as Sarpsborg seek £7million for their star man.

The left winger has been scouted extensively by some of the leading teams in Europe and the Scottish Premiership champions are understood to be keen on the 21-year-old. And Record Sport understands Benfica have joined multiple teams across the continent who are keeping tabs on the Norway U21 standout. Orjasaeter thrives on the left wing but loves to cut inside the pitch onto his favoured right foot.

Spartak Moscow actually was such a ballsy move. I rated him more for that, and who really that was any good in the prem would have signed him at that point?

 

Was it not spurs that wanted him? They would’ve been fairly good around then and with a player of his talent I reckon whoever he first signed for in the prem would’ve been just a stepping stone, get into the league and get noticed then by the stronger teams in it. I respect him for going Russia too tbh. He sounds like he tried to embrace it, learning the language and all that jazz etc.
