Yang Hyun Jun

A terrible footballer.

 

The lad works very hard, is very direct and did have a very good run first half.
Otherwise, nowhere near first team standard.

 

Yang can take on 4/5 men with ease, good passer too but cannot score.

for me he’s the good sub/squad player to have if we’re up 2 goals. Get on the pitch and go direct, win a few fouls or just keep the ball. He cost us peanuts but is never gonna be our regular starter anyway, so no drama for me if we keep him.

Horrific

 

He hit 0 shots and attempted 2 crosses into the box last night in a game we had them camped and surrounded in their own box for almost an hour solid.

Maeda attempted 2 shots and 8 crosses compared to him.

 

He works his bollocks off, I'll give him that, but he's just a bit mince isn't he? Does some nice runs but has no end product.

 

To be fair we don't know if he's bad or not as he doesn't really try anything.

If he was swinging crosses into the stands and nearly knocked the big screens down with his shooting then he might be * but he basically dribbles around and passes it usually like 5 yards to someone then runs on and repeats that type of play over and over.

He'd need to actually try and score and create goals before we knew if he was capable or * at it lol

He seems scared to do anything, when you play for us you really need the bottle to * up over and over again and just get on with it. Like Sinclair, Commons, Christie even Edouard and Griffiths, Stokes and allsorts they tried to score all the time or shoot from outside the box or score dribbling wonder goals and 95% of the time they won't but by doing it all the time they make things happen and score and create goals.

Yang plays lke he'd crumble at the moaning after he tried a cross and hit behind the goal or hit a shot 10 yards over the bar so he just doesn't do anything.

 

Yang has played 463 minutes (7.7 hours) in the League and hit 5 shots and 6 key passes.

Palma has only played 148 minutes (2.5 hours) and has hit 8 shots and 10 key passes.

So Yang only really does something that could result in a goal every 43 minutes, Palma does one every 8 minutes.

If Palma had played the same game time as Yang he'd probably have

Palma 25 shots 31 key passes
Yang 5 shots 6 key passes

It's a disgrace really that Yang gets a game.

We're playing a guy who in the same game time as Palma sets up 5x less chances and hits 5x less shots.

 

Last night was very much case in point. Yang started and played most of the game and offered little. Palma came on and while not great played one excellent cross which lead to our crucial second goal and hit a decent shot from the edge of the box that was well saved. For me I just don't see him ever making an impact for us and we should look to sell him.

 

I desperately want him to succeed but unfortunately it won't happen here.

 

Mikey Johnston probably had better stats for us.

It's so weird cause he clearly has talent. Never known a player to be so ineffective

 

We need to move him on and get a decent winger in, we cannot be sentimental, he is not good enough so get him out the door.

 

Without a shadow of doubt. Mikey Johnston is a far superior and more dangerous winger then Yang.
