Thing for me is, this whole argument about cashing in and getting the best fee at the best time.. I just don't think it applies here. For a Jota or MOR where you know its going to be £20mil+, aye. For Kyogo its never going to be a huge profit. Maybe we get £10mil, so what, £6mil profit? £6mil in the bank and we lose a striker who is genuinely world class on his day, who almost always shows up in big games. Who can score an absolute peach out of nowhere.

Unless he's desperate to leave, or if Rodgers is certain there's an adequate replacement coming in, then dont * cash in on Kyogo

 

He’s a very good player, but no doubt his first two seasons were his best. He’s not been anywhere near that form under Rodgers. Don’t know if it’s the system or just form has shaded.

 

He's been missing too many sitters for the past two years, both in the SPL and the Champions League, and it is costing us.

His timing is not as sharp either. Best time to offload and upgrade.

 

MLS have apologised for mistakenly posting an article which announced Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi as a new Atlanta United signing.

A spokesperson for the league told Sky Sports News: "Major League Soccer's website mistakenly posted an article that named the wrong player as having signed with an MLS club.

"The article was immediately removed and corrected. MLS extends its sincere apologies to the impacted parties.”

A player profile for Kyogo exists on the MLS website, but it’s understood they are automatically loaded through their sports data provider and include player profiles for many players around the world, not just in MLS

 

I think we should cash in now.
With the league done, even if we dont replace him this window, we have enough to see out the season with Idha Maeda and Kenny, maybe even one of the kids can get a run.
Its just that he has regressed under BR and his style, plus his dodgy shoulder and given his age too, just feel its the end of the cycle, time to look in a different direction. The amount of chances he has missed this season is criminal. He can be so so detached in games, mainly due to the way we play now.
Given his exploits while in the hoops, he will always be a Celtic legend.
