See, whilst he was poor, we are really bad at feeding both him and Kyogo.

Both of them get next to no service in games, it's something we need to work on going forward.

Despite the above, Idah's positioning is really poor, seems to always be in midfield or the edge of the box, it's something he needs to improve.

How many times this season have we seen Kyogo start and been unimpressed?

Lad needs a run, and you’d be in a very slim minority if you claimed otherwise.

Nothing to do with a lack of a pre-season. He’s just not very good.

He scored some huge goals last season and nobody can take that away from him. But I can only really remember him having one outstanding performance over the 90 mins and that was at Rugby Park at the end of the season.

Dominated the game. Goals, hold up play, aggression, work rate etc.

He’s never shown anything like that before or since in a Celtic shirt.

He'll likely come up with an important goal and/or moment or two before the season is out. But it's a slog watching him.

Just a lack of confidence with the big man. He's already proved he's a superb talent, just need to be patient I think. It'll come for him.

Some of his link up and one touch play is good but he’s far too static in the box, doesn’t work hard enough to create his own space.

Needs a goal the now to get going. I think he needs to do more in the box to get infront of his man for me. He is always relying on someone missing it for the ball to get to him, he’s a big strong fast guy, he needs to be getting across his man for me.

Naw, mate. Listen to the roasters in here: players don’t need games. They should hit the ground running like in Football Manager.

He's badly lacking that striker instinct in and around the box. Plenty of decent balls put in there tonight and he was always behind pmay or behind a defender. Looks lacking in confidence.

Hit the ground running? He's been here a year not 3 weeks.

Am used to that on here tbf :giggle1:

Always think you need to be smart enough to consider all factors when judging a player. It's been a stuttering season for him so far but he's got the talent, that's undeniable.

4 goals since the end of September. No he’s not started loads but that’s a poor return.

3 starts in 2 weeks against Motherwell, Dundee United and St Mirren. Hasn’t looked like scoring and his contribution has been very little in general.

He absolutely needs to be doing more.

Won’t get any disagreement from me on much of that - especially the bit in bold. It’s your denial about the lack of a run of games (following no effective pre-season) that I don’t get. Fails to acknowledge the whole picture with the guy. There’s two sides to it. Won’t get to show what he might have without a run.

Some of the best players who've ever played for us would have had their contracts ripped up after a few games if some folk had their way.

But on the flip side he’s doing nothing during matches to show he deserves a proper run in the team. And by nothing, I mean nothing.

We’re rotating between two strikers massively underperforming. Which probably points to a wider issue, but that’s another debate.

I just think he’s bang average. I’m sure a run of games would be beneficial…but I don’t think he’ll go from his current level of performances to some superstar or anything like that.

He’s a backup striker at a club like Celtic.

Just give him next two league games. Not much to lose and needs a run. He has struggled big time, though.

    Another start with zero impact..

£9m fee or not, he won't keep getting opportunities..

    Needs to do much more.
