It's just a snarky wee interview where Brendan has been feeling pressure and he's not feeling appreciated, along with his players like GT so bites back a wee bit.
Yes it's a wee bit arrogant and over sensitive, but everyone has bad moods now and again.

No big deal, let's move on and not over analyse.

 

Just a thought for Brendan… In the last week you’ve sat for 90 minutes and listened to a support belting out sectarian hatred at Ibrox for 90 minutes then watched one of your players be physically assaulted by one of those supporters. You’ve then listened to your own fans sing a song celebrating a beloved ex-player who might be returning.

Remind me again which one you called out in a post-match press conference? Maybe pick your battles a little better.

Should spend the whole game singing Martin O'Neil, Postecoglou ole, one Neil Lennon and go all the way through..

He'd probably throw a huff and storm down the tunnel 10 minutes in..

 

If Rodgers had made the same comments after the Brugge game (when the groans were worse), I can guarantee you the people who have took his comments to heart would still be slaughtering him for it. So I think it’s irrelevant when he has said it, because it doesn’t make it any less valid or true.

Wonder if we'll get 90 minutes of Henrik Larsson is the KOK, Tommy Burns, Venegoor of Hesselink, Oh Ah Samaras and others that used to be brought back at away games.

 

Aww absolutely. So he could have easily come out after that game and said something. So I don’t see any difference with him saying it now. It would still have got the same reaction from some fans anyway.

 

I don’t see a big issue with the fans signing about Tierney. But it’s not the same as signing about the players you have mentioned above. Tierney still plays, and for a different club now. I personally think it’s a bit of a riddy signing about another teams player, but I also don’t see any harm in it.

 

Can we expect a well worded banner on Wednesday ?

Or … 90 minutes of KT chants and songs?

Probably the Celtic paranoia in me (can you blame me with BRs previous?). … but can’t help thinking he might persinally scupper the KT move just through his own vanity and stubbornness..

 

Brendan was probably still * about our performance against the huns, which he should be. I'd personally wait to see if he signs first.

That's what I was concerned about when I heard Brendan's comments, and then he said Tierney is an Arsenal player, then suggested Taylor is not good enough for the Champions League, he was talking in fucken riddles I thought.

Is it possible he does not want Tierney, but the Celtic Board want him ?.

 

The timing of him raising both those points feels a bit odd, which makes me wonder if he’s upset about something else and is simply using those grievances as a vehicle to have a moan.

We all know the guy has some ego, and the criticism around the derby and cries of Big Phil having his number will have stung him, especially coming from our own support. Maybe he’s thinking that he hasn’t gotten the plaudits he deserves for only one defeat in a year. He mentioned both respect and trusting the manager in his press conference, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more about that than anything to do with Taylor or groans around backwards passing.

At any rate, with Young Boys coming up I’m sure he’ll get over whatever it is soon enough, as it’s in his and everybody else’s interest to do so.

 

Totally forgot about this why has no one told him that in an interview
