Wasn't great but not any worse than Kyogo has been majority of the season.

Looks short of confidence probably due to sitting on bench majority of the season. Would preserve with him next 2 or 3 games anyway.

80 mins will have done him good today

    A severely limited footballer.

Idah is a decent back up option, but does anyone realistically think he's good enough to lead the line in the CL?

Think he’d do fine if he got a run of games.

Pretty meh, worked hard and done some things well, but starved of service too. I'd give him a run of starts and see how he gets on.

    Poor again.

The only reason he might deserve a run of games is because Kyogo has been pish, not because Idah is showing anything to justify starts.

He just doesn't really excel at anything.

Needs a run of games to properly get going.

Did what Idah generally does, which isn't a lot.

Decent back-up player but will be haunted by that price-tag which adds pressure he could do without.

He isn't the player people think he is on here.

Needs a run of games for sure, doesn’t look sharp. We should also be tweaking tactics when he’s playing up top, go direct into him more often.

I think both him and Kyogo do suffer from a lack of service, it's something I hope we address ASAP.

Still, he needs to do much more when he starts.

Folk need to actually watch him. He does a lot of tracking back (did a lot of it today) and works hard. He wasn't poor by any stretch of the imagination today. The goals will come if we give him service.

couldn’t agree more. Don’t think we crossed on cross into box that be could head. They either blocked or hit first man in box. I don’t understand why we don’t go direct more often with idah up top. Kick high balls up him and see what happens.
It would broke huns pressing us at back last Thursday. Give them something think about. High ball up and get idah head them down or on and get wingers running on his headers

You know it's a poor performance when you have to say our striker was good against St Mirren because he did a lot of tracking back.

His first touch is pretty woeful. Granted he isn't getting much service at the moment, but for his size he doesn't really hold the ball up well or impose himself on games enough.

Said at the time we overpaid but it was our own fault through * around.

He may still become the player we hope but if he doesn't you will still get something decent back due to him probably going back down south.

It wasn't a poor performance though, he did his job well. He had a hand in Trusty's goal by pulling defenders away from the centre of the six yard box. He's got 7 goals this season with half the game time of Kyogo and mostly coming on as a sub, until the St.Johnstone match he was equal with Kyogo on goals scored. I want to see more from him but he's done ok so far this season, and he's already proven he can deliver in big games for us last season. Give him service and he'll score.

I genuinely think the loss of O'Riley has badly affected both Kyogo and Idah. Neither have been good this season. This is the Idah I expected as an Ireland fan and I was pleasantly surprised at him last season. Think he did OK today but he isn't anywhere near the top class striker we expect at Celtic.

We have overpaid for him but neither striker is really flourishing in this system. Is it the strikers or the system?
