Only been watching since 30 mins in as * with this flu but think we sound and look OK

 

Thought the midfield were quite flat overall and Maeda has been slack. Idah not the answer either. Will take 2-0 and fully expect another 2.

 

In our last 2 home games we were 1-0 at HT. 2 up against an arguably better team is an improvement. But we still need more from Idah, or Kyogo has to come on.

 

No really a good performance for me..

Engels, Kuhn and Maeda been good as well as Carter-Vickers and Trusty..

It's too slow and flat. We can't seem to get the balance right in the middle..

Idah has been woeful for me. Poor touches. * link up. Too slow to react. Can't get in to it and killing us up top..

Loved that first goal, nice vision from McCowan to set it off and whit a lovely wee touch off the outside of the boot to control it by Maeda, had no worries where it was going as soon as it left Kuhns boot... more of that please bhoys.

Also great to see us score from a corner, Engels deliveries deserve more goals.

 

First goal was crucial given the timewasting, started playing a bit after that. Engels deliveries are superb, and brilliant for Trusty to get his first goal.

Hopefully play a bit faster, get a couple more then make the changes.

 

With our lack of wide options, try Engels on the right when Kuhn comes off for Bernardo or Reo.

 

I keep wondering when Idah is going to prove his worth

 

Given the score I’m surprised I have a rant loaded but here goes. We’re 2-0 up which is a surprise given the first half an hour was filled with time wasting and kicking the ball between our midfield and defence. Off the ball runs (few and far between) being missed and yet more unforced errors. The tempo definitely went up after the first goal but why it took that long for a bit of creativity is beyond me. If this were a one off you’d take it but so many of our performances have been this predictable and slow so thankfully today we are winning but this is the type of play that gets you in trouble with better sides and like Rangers showed the past two games, it doesn’t take a high calibre of team to take advantage of it.

He hasn’t had his best game but tbf to him the lack of service from midfield hasn’t helped. I feel like Idah and Kyogo are suffering from the same issue, with the slow tempo and lack of creativity from defence to midfield stifling their play, allowing defenders to close them down without much issue.

 

Can't find a way to watch this.

 

Since Leipzig we've not even reached 10% of that performance level, we seemed to be possessed by the spirits of prime Barca that night, it was like that scene from Space Jam where they all touch the ball and transform into galacticos, don't know what's happened since then and why we haven't reached close to those performance heights since, still got results in the majority but always love flare along the way, hopefully, with much needed recruitments this window, that spark comes back
