Diawara is definitely one I feel we should go for.

He is big, strong, pacy with natural aggression, just the type of CDM we need to finish the season strongly, and give us some real dig and mentality in our midfield.

Balikwisha too, if his recent injury is just a minor muscle injury, then I think we should still take the plunge on him. He is a very good player, who can play right across the front line. What a difference he and Tierney would make to our left side of the team.

 

I’m not going to torture myself on here this month for a change.

It’s blatantly obvious what we need.

Left wing and holding midfield are absolutely essential.

 

Feel like I’ve said this loads now but he isn’t pacey all. He’s quite slow.

We can do better than Diawara.

Balikwisha has been out since august. Since 2022 he has been injured: 301 days! Him and Tierney would be too much of a risk if you ask me…

This window is as much to set us up for the Champions League qualifiers. Important to do good business that will bed players in. Let's see what the 'football doctor' can do....

Don't think for once there's a massive rush to get players in and there certainly won't be from the board. League practically won, LC cup in the bag and next round CL looking likely. Bank balance looking good.

Wingers are a must but hard to come by these days, as per, this will go to the wire I reckon.

 

Also at least 5 players need shifted permanently but again that could probably wait until the summer

 

We need to be properly ruthless and get this done. We should have done a bit more in the summer so this is corrective action.

Hoping the likes of Yang may come good is far from necessary in our position - Rangers currently do this because they have to. We do not, a loan will tell us all we need to know.

The one silver lining in the defeat, and manner of it, to Rangers, means we can't hide from needing more.

 

Tierney announcement will be a nice boost when it happens. The rumours are the deal is done so just want it announced as soon as possible.

Really hope the club find an appropriate winger too.

I'm not expecting anything more than three players coming in, but more likely two including Tierney.

 

Surely board will see massive champion league money coming in this year and spent 25 million in jan to make sure we have best possible chance off qualifying next summer.
Give players 4 months to settle in and full pre season to get ready for it

 

Can’t see us spend a cent more then what ever we make on sales. For that reason I think we’ll just bring in KT and a winger. Prove me wrong Celtic

 

We are supposed to be back in for a midfielder. I'm hoping its Diawara.

 

Out: Palma, Bernabei, Holm (loan), Taylor (now if we can get a decent fee, otherwise in the Summer as insurance for KT).

Should hopefully get somewhere in the region of 12 mil for them.

In: KT, new LW, maybe another CM.

 

I agree. I think we are quite spoilt for choice at the moment.

Scales and Trusty are going back and forth at the moment but at least we HAVE the option to go back and forth.

Even in midfield, we have 5 players fighting for 3 spots. Considering CalMac is captain, it's essentially 4 players fighting for 2 spots. Signing a 6th first choice midfielder seems unrealistic to me unless we sell Hatate.

 

Not so certain on the Tierney deal being secure after today. Would be very weird for Rodgers to say what he has if that was the case.
Sounds like he’s trying to get Greg Taylor to stay.

could the club be engineering the move for Tierney but Rodgers doesn’t want him for whatever reason?

 

I doubt it - Rodgers will 100% be pushing for it.

I think he wants Taylor to stay too, probably knowing he'll end up needing a quality LB with KT's injury record.
