    Totally agree with this.

We are only 11 points clear because we are better at beating teams who play a low block.

Most of the recent derbies, 3-0 in September aside, have been close. We haven’t played well against them for ages.

We are told to look at bigger picture and admittedly I’d much rather be in our position than theirs but I simply won’t be satisfied until we are dominating these fixtures again.

It’s embarrassing for us to go on about how * they are, only for them to gub us like they did yesterday.

We have the budget and resources to blow them away.

So going by that we’ve to set up in the next derby the same way we did in the last two, and just hope it’s better?

Not suggesting a radical change. But Rodgers should be capable of finding solutions through small tweaks or a change of personnel.

    Would have * loved a 7-0 yesterday.

No offence but who gives a * about what the outside world think.
As long as we’re successful and beat the scum at same time, * everyone else outside Celtic family.

Yes, you tactically tweak things in games by keeping the same style . I think he got his lineup wrong anyway and I dislike the fact he’s shoehorned Scales back into the lineup at the expense of Trusty, who had a disappointing 45 minutes in the Cup Final, barely to be seen again.

Mistakes are lead up to the first goal, they got their backs up, crowd on their side and we didn’t have the balls or the men to stand up to it. It happens. It’s our first domestic loss of the season. It was a woeful performance, where everyone needs to take a good, long, hard look at themselves and quash the complacent attitude because it was shown in abundance yesterday.

That’s not the point you’re making though. You’re talking about battering them in games, we did that in September. “That was great but..” well, but what? We battered them in September. You’re just looking at games and expecting mad results. It’s our first loss to them in how long? The dead rubber after Ange won us the title in his final season. You’re saying you don’t expect Murry/Caixinha levels of battering… so what do you expect? We were the better team in the second half in the cup final, after a woeful first half. We were also better than them in extra time. We were the better team, overall and deserved to win the cup.

Let’s not forget, you called a 0-0 draw at Tannadice, against a team who have been flying by their standards this season and our own team, half of which were out sick with a virus, as “inexcusable”. There’s justified criticism to be made but let’s not shy away from the fact that your criticism goes way over the top.

I’ve told you I don’t expect mad results.

I keep being told we’re miles better than the huns, but I don’t often see it in games against them. That’s my point.

Our record is great against them in terms of wins/points, but our performances the last couple of years haven’t been great. Now I get it’s a derby and that comes with nerves/pressure etc.

But again, one goal margins against 10 men? Needing a last minute winner? Needing penalties?

Games like that are to be expected occasionally but that’s 4 of the last 6 games against them (I think). We’ve each had one convincing win in the last 6 derbies. The others have been one goal margins (against 10 men), penalties and a draw where we gave up a lead twice.

Now personally I don’t think it’s remotely controversial to say our performances against them of late haven’t been the most convincing.

My controversial opinion is Maeda is hugely overrated and I can't get mu head round some people genuinely rating him above Jota.

As much as other positions are more crucial in this window, when the rubber hits the road and the proverbial hits the fan, we only have 2 CBs worthy of the jersey.

Praiseworthy as his work rate and passion is, Scales just isn’t good enough. Not even a squad CB for me - in the CL anyway, and that’s the benchmark.

We've had some terrific games against them of late but I don't think wanting more is unreasonable. I genuinely don't know if there's been a time in recent years when the gaps been so huge, on a man for man basis. Genuinely not a single one of their players gets close to our starting 11. We should be burying them 9 times out of 10, yet performances like the cup final have become too frequent. Even the last 2 league games against them last season, we go 2-0 up and should have cruised to comfortable victories, yet we allowed them back into the games and could easily have come away from them with 2 draws or worse. Financially and personnel wise they are closer to the rest of the league than they are to us, time to show that on the park a bit more.

For me, we aren’t miles ahead of them and never have been. With us two someone is always * and someone is always amazing, thats how its spun.

We are better than them but they show they aren’t mugs at European level.

Hopefully its a shot in the arm to go again because its never as bad as you think and never as good as you think against them.

I'm pretty sure Calmac would care about how that looks. Would be the last thing he'd want

Think when Hearts and Kilmarnock beat us within a couple weeks at the end of 2023 there was the same hysteria on here

Celtic will win the league by more than 11 points

He's a weird one. Sometimes I think this and other times I'm like, "Aye I get it" he's an enigma.

My controversial opinion is I'd probably take Raskin from them, wouldn't start for us but having that type of CDM would help, albeit he might just be going through a purple patch as he's been there 2 years now.

Another one is, for me, we are better than them, but the gap isn't anywhere near as big as it should be.

Their biggest problem is playing against low blocks, its something that'll likely cost them the title this season, but as evident by yesterday's performance, the cup final and them in Europe, they can clearly play well against teams that attack them.

The plus side is they are skint and will lose Cerny at the end of the season, these next two windows are important for us, in more ways than one.

He is. I acknowledge what he brings but I think if we showed some ambition could improve in terms of a player who's more rounded. He's someone I like having in the squad though and is a valuable part of it.

Up front they actually have decent players.

Bajrami, Cerny, Igamane, Danilo and Hagi are all decent players who, on their day and if we don't turn up, will hurt us. E.g. yesterday.

This team they have is nowhere near as bad as ones a few years back.

If we didn't have Kuhn I'd definitely take Cerny from them, good player and I'm happy he's only on loan.

I think Hagi is a weird one as he never played even half that good for them prior, and i include the covid season in that, I think he's likely playing for a move, and they'll probably make a profit on him purely on his name alone.

I think where they largely suffer is outside their first 11, guys like Matondo, Lawrence, Dowell, Dessers, McCausland and Cortes are all a waste of a wage and show they still have a long way if they want to match us over the season.

I also still think Clement is a poor manager, and I'm happy he's likely getting the season as I think a better manager could do a lot more with the squad they have, even if the bench is weak.

Would only take raskin if the scum sell him to another team and don’t have a sell on clause so the huns don’t benefit from us buying him.
