Wanting him out is mad tbf.

Really hope to see us get back to the football of the early part of the season, though. Still get flashbacks of late first-era Rodgers.

Bunch of spoilt and ignorant cretins calling for his head. Absolutely moronic! Go back to playing FIFA. One thing I hate is success has gone to a lot of fans heads especially the younger generations. * forbid they win the title one year.

I also lost 400 quid at the bookies yesterday but I won't be calling for anyone's heads!

Rodgers is about to enter his 3 season of which he'll have won another league title, which is the main goal. There's gonna be bumps in the road and we shouldn't expect invincible seasons all the time. Yesterday was diabolical. Inexcusable really.

It's just a revamp needed in formation and set up, whilst continuing to add to the areas we need to with quality. Looks like KT will be the LB needed. Just CDM is a priority as well. Summer we should def add a AMC and a winger.

All teams and manager evolve over the years. We're just approaching our time now.

Got that wrong way round I'd say. Winger and creative midfielder are absolute musts ASAP for me. If we're going down the DM route it will need to be with a revamped system, which would need to be worked on in pre season. Therefore DM can wait till then.

That's only the 2nd time he's lost to them in 21 games or something as well :56:

I think if we are bang on it we can implement our style on any team but it was so slack yesterday.

There was a couple times it got fired into one of the 8’s and instead of bouncing it into the third man runner they were so square and passed it to Scales or CCV.

The problem for us is if we aren’t at our best theres no out-ball through Kyogo (or Idah because he’s 6’3 until he needs to be) and we don’t have any ball carriers to go by one or two guys.

I think we desperately need a dominant physical midfielder that can bully and win the ball back …

The Huns game plan yesterday wasn’t anything genius, they went direct anticipating either scales or CCV would head it back in to midfield and they picked the ball up there and broke … every single time. It wasn’t rocket science their game plan but we’ve struggled a few times in Europe against teams that flood the midfield in a similar way.

Put McGregor further forward and add a bit more physicality and power to that midfield would help that a lot.

A midfielder in the vein of Aaron Mooy who can come in and add that experience and calmness in the middle of the park would benefit the whole team. I think we missed that yesterday. When they closed down McGregor the other midfielders didn't have the nous or ability to exploit the space that should have been available for them.

Said ig many times but just having a ball winner in there isn't gonna solve our issues. Not when we've got the other two midfielders high up the pitch not falling back to create options for a pass.

Cal is ideal in the 6 for the system we play, provided everyone does their job properly. If we want a 'destroyer' (buzzword) then we need to rethink our whole system as we're unlikely to find one who is good enough going forward who we could afford.

I think you misunderstand what I’m saying, I think in modern football the classic kinda CDM type that only sits in front of the defence is a dying breed for good reason. You’re right in the sense that there’s no reason to go over the top and change everything on the back of one loss.

For me, if you stuck Callum in Hatates position yesterday and a dominant more defensive minded midfielder in there we wouldn’t have conceded half the chances we did yesterday.

When Hatate plays like he did yesterday it was like we only had two in midfield and it was very easy to overrun.

Am more inclined to think we needed to drop Bernardo back alongside Cal to have any chance of nullifying their press. Yes Hatate was a man down, but Cal was almost as bad so your option I don't think would have made that much a difference.

That's yesterday though. In terms of going forward more generally, we need to be creating a tactical way of beating a press rather than just changing personnel and playing the same way. Rodgers so far is failing in that regard.

I haven’t bothered look back the pages to see who wants him out or why but cmon now. The man has been top notch since coming back and is a quality manager. He’s not going to get everything spot on but even yday I don’t think the fault lies with him. Yes there’s things he could’ve done different etc but brendan Rodgers can’t control players misplacing 5 yard passes and * themselves in the game. I understand we were all * off with the result yday but anyone suggesting he should go is an absolute nutter and needs to take a breather and a chill pill

On the subject of midfielders I dontnthink we need an out and out CDM as in 85% of our games that isn't required.

We do need more of an all-rounder though. I was hoping Engels could be that and there's still time.

But someone like Diawara from Lyon or of that ilk who we could mould...has height, power and pace. Not necessarily someone who will score 10+ goals a season but can give us something different.

Agree with the above, people wanting him out are beyond spoilt and aren't worth listening too tbh.

He's been excellent this season for the most part, 9 points in Europe, 11 points clear in the league with a healthy goal difference and the league cup already in the bag. Worth mentioning we've already won at Tynecastle, Easter Road, Pittodrie, Fir Park and Rugby Park.

It was a terrible game, and the lack of subs infuriated me at the time, probably my main gripe with him.

He learned from the Dortmund game when people were worried about his tactics, I have no doubt he'll learn from this.

Haven't read far back enough to see any comments suggesting anyone wanting him out. Can only imagine they're at the windup or completely * clueless.
