Agreed, played well but whenever the wide attacking players are effective like they were today then an inverted fullback simply helps in maintaining that possession in the attacking half by flooding the central areas

Today, he had an easy job and wasn’t needed to create additional chances but that’s the advantage you have with this tactical approach to exploit when the wide players aren’t beating their markers or aren’t needed to make overlapping runs

Very comfortable win, did the opponents even get a shot on target?

Really like what I’ve seen so far. Bit of a throwback in the way he plays which suits us, but also very good on the ball. Pretty much nailed on that Taylor starts against the huns but think him and maeda would cause them so many problems, with AJ and Kuhn on the other side

I like Taylor, always have, but i always think it's difficult to drop someone after a very good performance and he did everything well. Defended well enough when he had to, but his forward play and change of pace at the wing was quality. He's an excellent player.

I like him but i always would have more confidence with Taylor in the big games.

He is erratic with his passing like Berebai was which is strange considering his graduation from La Masia.

Two fullbacks overlapping the winger and putting in lovely low pick outs. The joys..

He's first choice in my book.

All the talk of Tierney etc...we should be doing everything to sign this lad.

Saints rarely attack when they play us at Celtic Park.

Pretty apparent, similar to Motherwell but less dirty

Left me with fewer opportunities to see him defensively unfortunately

I like him but I think bringing him on was a mistake today. He needs to be a lot better with his passing.

Has done nothing, that I've seen, in a Celtic jersey to suggest he's even remotely the level of player we need. His biggest attribute seems to be not being Greg Taylor.

Hes what he is. A very young youth left back with a small bit of potential. Not good enough for us. I'd personally go all out to resign taylor as a backup to Tierney.

Agree with posters above, I just don't get the desire to get him in the team at all other than to put anyone in who isn't Greg Taylor.

Valle is energetic and direct going forward but also loses the ball regularly, has poor positional sense and is easily brushed of the ball.
He and Maeda have no connection.

Judged purely on his own merits, he is nowhere near ready to be a long term 1st choice at LB.
Taylor is better, despite his obvious deficiencies.

A fit KT would be an absolute game changer.
There also a guy playing superbly in South America, worth £8M that we can get on a free transfer :fear:

I haven't seen it myself. He's not been bad but if we were to knock millions on a left back I'd want better.

I like him but subbing him on yesterday at 2-0 down when everyone around him had completely folded like a deck of cards did him no favours at all. He had a shocker but I wouldn’t have expected anything else, others had chucked it by that point so hard to lay too much of the blame at the door of the subs yesterday.

Yeah right enough, my mistake. I still don’t really get the thinking in bringing him on. In the grand scheme of things Taylor wasn’t as bad as most in the team and after a small purple patch right at the start of the half we’d crumbled again by that point and they were well on top.
