Second half he was outstanding, ball for Maeda’s was a peach.

I thought he ran the show second half.

His touch and weight of pass in tight areas is so good

Aye really good, done better in the deeper role than the last time he played it although he does roam about a bit too much you'd worry if he played there in Europe, he plays it about 15 yards further forward than McGregor and he wanders to the sides a lot leaving the middle open.

St Johnstone hardly crossed the halfway line so there was never any danger.

On the ball and around the pitch he's utter class. Good engine, solid, quality on a ball, some passer and touch and bullies *, intercepts balls for fun.

You'd easily have paid £10million for him.

The price we paid for him was absolutely daylight robbery. A player of his ability for £5m is unbelievable business. Could he improve his numbers? Yes absolutely, but he’s proper class and fancy him to run the show on Thursday.

He's been good but in other games I've been wanting him to impose his self I'm both halves..

Been plenty where he's had a good first half when starting and tired/tailed off or made an impact off the bench. Today he was the full package, in that deeper role..

He drops out for McGregor for me as don't think you can drop Engels when he's just starting to motor with back to back motm's and Hatate also coming in to the fore..

That trio was quality to watch today..

Good dilemma for Rodgers to have. Does he go with Hatate from the start to have that attacking pace and playmaking then bring on Bernardo to solidify us. Or start them both and have Engels off the bench against tired legs. Bring Hatate on second half to give us an outball if we need to play on the counter...

Quality options between those three, plus McCowan knocking on the door as well. Intriguing to see who starts.

Not had a bad game all season. Id be smashing Rodgers door if i was him every time he’s benched.

Not great today... yet IMHO also our second-best player on the day. At least he has a bit of fight and doesn't hide.

Left McGregor completely isolated and looked absolutely lost.

I didn’t think he was the worst today. It’s a hard shift in there with McGregor and Hatate.

Why not play him beside McGregor where he has played his best football why do we need to persist with having 2 midfielders miles away from McGregor
