Im no suggesting sacking the manager and anyone suggesting that are stupid but being 11 points ahead of that mob shouldn’t be excusing how bad we were and how much we got dominated against a hun team we have laughed at all season.

I agree it did appear as if the players just thought they could stroll up today and get a result. Hopefully this provides them with a kick up the backside.

Nothing to add over what's already been said.

They wanted it more. We were a shambles start to finish. Too many passengers who looked like they didn't want to be there as soon as we lost a goal.

It's not the end of the world in the grand scheme of things but it brings us all back to earth with a bump and it's hopefully a needed kick up the * for a good few of those players.

Hopefully this doesn't have any lasting effects and BR can read the riot act, get some quality in during the window and make sure there's nothing like a repeat performance for the rest of the season.
As raging as I am now, if all that happens then I don't really think I will care too much looking back at the end of the season.

They played it like it was their most important game of the season and we approached it like the league was wrapped up and we got what we deserve. Hopefully player learn their lessons and move on.

McGregor hatate and scales should’ve been subbed at half time and sent to bed with no dinner.

We have off days, and I think for weeks we have dipped thinking the league is wrapped up.

like others have said today, players have thought we can just turn up and win.

terrible performance today, Don’t want Scales near that starting 11 for a long time.

Biggest red flag for me today was our midfield not adapting to a very simple game plan from the Huns. They were feeding off that second ball all day today.

They go direct, CCV or scales head the ball in to midfield and they pick up possession and play from there. Every time.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but McGregor can’t continue as a CDM if we’ve to take the next step as a team. We’ve needed a proper defensive midfielder that can bully and impact the game for a few years now. It’s a lot more glaring against teams who press us and flood the midfield.

We need to back Brendan in January and get rid of some of the deadwood, when Maeda isn’t firing for example we genuinely have nobody of quality to replace him on the left wing, he’s probably * shattered at this point in the season. Same could be argued on the right too.

Be ruthless, punt Yang, Palma, Odin, etc and bring in a first team CDM, LW, RW, and a good young prospect for striker.

Until we fix our glaring deficiencies, that have plagued us for years now under several coaches, then the team will never truly improve even though we'll continue to win trophies domestically. We have a squad made-up up almost entirely of physically weak players, without any fight in them whatsoever. Our defensive game, as a team unit, is appalling, lacking in work-rate and discipline. The majority of our usual starting 11's are only interested when we have the ball and switch-off and don't compete when we don't have it. Against anything like competent opposition we almost never manage to keep a clean sheet and often concede heavily. The endless passing in and around our own box is killing us too. If BR insists on playing this way then we need players who are capable of doing it which means shelling-out massive money on about 5 new players. Unlikely I would think so the logical step would be to stop the suicidal passing and try another way. He won't though so we'll be gifting chances to our opponents and putting ourselves under needless pressure for a while to come. We started this season really well, creating lots of chances with good football but the last few months have reminded me of how we were playing towards the end of BR first spell in charge. Slow tempo, the passing backwards or sideways, players taking too many touches of the ball and little creativity. We've still got results though and that's maybe why nothing has changed performance-wise.

This. There have been games in the past where I think you could make a case for that. Today I think he was a major contributor towards the total lack of control we had over the midfield.

Exactly this I would usually be raging at a performance and defeat like that but I just took. The dog out after the 3rd and calmly reminded myself that we could be in their position. Surprisingly and pleasantly unbothered.

You talk sense, but Rodgers sold the only true CDM we had in the roster (Iwata). It's clear to me he doesn't think we need one.

If you're going to have a bad day like today it's always good to have it when you're 14 points ahead
