I'm a huge anime fan. Can I keep writing about 300 favorite anime & manga of mine little by little here?

 

Kaiju no. 8 is pretty good this season.

Anyone who likes giant monster stuff like godzilla or pacific rim should check it out.

 

I have more than 300 favorite anime, so I don't know where to start. Okay, I'll start with Lycoris Recoil. The story is good, characters are good, action & battle scenes are good and music is also good too. If you watch the first video below, you can understand how smoothly each character moves in action & battle scenes.

Long story short, it's about Tokyo girls with guns from a secret assassin association consisting of orphans.

Samurai Champloo (Two Samurai escort a girl to Hiroshima to search for her dad after she saves them from being executed)
Blue Eyed Samurai (A tale of revenge)
Space Dandy (Hilarious)
Violet Evergarden (A war orphan / weapon tries to come to terms with living a new life after the war)
Kotoro Lives Alone (amazing and a bit sad about a young boy living in a flat on his own)

If you like 2 hour duration anime where protagonists sing just like Disney's 2 hour duration animated films, I recommend Sing a Bit of Harmony. There are two protagonists. One is an android named Shion with the latest AI and the other is a high school girl named Satomi, who is a bit isolated at school. Shion is sent to the school with 2 missions. One is to help Satomi to make friends. The other mission is having her high school life without anybody noticing she is an android. Actually, Satomi's mother is a single mother working for the android company and the company want to test their latest android (=Shion). So, Satomi's mother suggested sending Shion to her daughter's school and test Shion if she can keep hiding she is actually an android. In the video below, Shion is singing. The title of the song = You've Got Friends (this is English dub version)





In this anime, the android (Shion) is singing 4 songs. The title of this song is "You need a friend". This one is in Japanese. The same songs, but different singers are singing the songs in different languages, which makes this kind of anime more interesting.

My favorite anime is Pokemon. Dragon Ball Z is also great.

I'm not into musicals myself!

 

I'm not sure people on this forum know about the seasons of weekly TV anime series. Four seasons per year, Winter season = Jan to March, Spring season = April to June, Summer season = July to Sep and Autumn season = October to November. Each season consists of 12 or 13 episodes. Each season has about 80 weekly TV anime series (so more than 300 weekly TV anime series per year). Among 80 Spring 2024 weekly TV anime series, Kaiju No.8 is a very popular one (I'd say one of 5 most popular ones).

It seems "Look Back" will get available on amazon prime video on November 7th. You must watch it!. Seriously, all people I know cried at the theaters while watching the movie. I rather want people who don't usually watch anime to watch this one "Look Back". I think this has the beautiness and possiblity that anime can contain. I think if a person would NOT feel like shedding tears AT ALL when watching Look Back, I guess there isn't a single movie that can make him or her cry

I’ve got a massive list of ones I need to watch assured I’ll love it mate, storytelling I probably would most but it’s not my forte generally. I just * loved Dragonball Z as a wean and have the nostalgia hit with Super

Attack on Titan is one I think I need to try but.

 

Wasn't really my thing either until a colleague forced me to watch a couple. There are some really good quality stories. The one I linked is a belter. Get it watched.

 

Dragonball daima has been pretty good so far.

Dandadan is easily one of the best anime of the year too.
