I'm not against signing Tierney on a play/by game contract. Good left backs are very hard to find.

 

There are about as easy to find as good Left Wingers.

Nothing in Belgian media about it. Just watched the Antwerp score yesterday and wanted to see if he played, there I saw injured since 9/12. But what kind of injury I couldn’t find though.

Michel-Ange Balikwisha will reportedly by given the green light to leave Royal Antwerp this month amid resurfaced rumours over a move to Celtic.

The winger was touted with a move to the Scottish Premiership champions last summer before injury ended any hope of a move to Celtic Park. However, a new wide man looks to still be high on Brendan Rodgers' shopping list this summer as he attempts to add more competition for Nicolas Kuhn and Daizen Maeda.


The 23-year-old made his return from injury before the winter break in Belgium and with 18 months remaining on his deal, Antwerp are said to willing to sell Balikwisha for around £5m this month. Gazet van Antwerpen report the Belgian side are keen to recoup a fee to allow sporting director Marc Overmars to spend in other areas of the team this month and are "prepared to cooperate" with the forward over his departure.


It is noted that both the Hoops and Stade Rennes have shown "concrete interest" in recent months. However, they have not made an attempt to snap up the player so far in this window.

Balikwisha, two-footed LW, capable of beating a defender either way, which makes him so unpredictable. He would give us a totally different option from either Maeda or Yang.
He's worth the £5m in today's market. Injury record ? No different from Tierney.
If we are willing to take a chance on Tierney, then it stands to reason, we can equally take a chance on Balikwisha.

 

So rather then one liability you opt for two? Not much reason there. As much as I love KT, i wouldnt want to buy him due to his injury record. But buying two with an equal record is madness.

 

It's not madness, it's calculated risks.There is risks in involved in everything in life. You could buy a player for £10M and he could turn out to be a dud, how often have we seen that in football ?.Of course, both Tierney and Balikwisha would have to pass Celtic medicals, and if we do go for them, and they passed them, I would be happy enough with that.
