He will get the recognition he deserves in the convoluted , imagined event that there is literally nobody else available to us ? High praise indeed !

But the Parkhead gaffer refused to rule out a move while underlining his desire to secure out of contract Greg Taylor on a new deal. He said

Rodgers remains hopeful of keeping Taylor beyond the end of this season. He said: “I would hope so. I think I've said it a number of times, he's so important for our squad, Greg. Because when you want to build a squad, it's never just about starters. It's about the whole squad and you want to adapt to that. So he's a player that I've really enjoyed working with so much on and off the pitch. And I've said it before and I repeat, I really want him to stay. So I'm hoping that between the club and his representatives, we can organise a deal. But I also understand he's 27 now, this will be one of the last big contracts of his career. So he has to make sure that everything is right. But what I do know is, I really want him to be here. I love working with him. I really enjoy the aspect of seeing him every day because he's up for every training session. And for me, he's really important for us

Played well today, tried to push forward but was stymied by his teammates recycling the ball time after time.

One of our best players today, only one who was trying to create.

Agreed he was really poor. His crosses are literal catching practice and he played a square ball 3 or 4 times straight to opposition .

He had some good moments from what I saw and some careless/sloppy moments too

I'm not going to even say it as I'm sick to death saying the same thing about him practically every week.

I noticed he tried to blame someone else for it too.

The suicide pass into the path of a Motherwell player in his own half? That was really frustrating

I think he has his mind set on a move elsewhere, and I also think that may be affecting his performances.

Starting to think he’s just thick as mince. Three times in the last few games he’s played that exact same type of pass across the pitch and given the ball away. Clearly isn’t learning.

He was dire today. Kept trying that pishy floated ball into the box and making an * of it.

He was a literal POTY candidate last season mate. He's been a fantastic signing for us.

    * again but at this point what does it matter. He's been here 5 years and been * for vast majority of it and still plays every * week.

The sooner his contract expires and he * off the * better.

I actually thought he played well, him and the 3 in midfield I thought moved the ball about well and were running around interchanging and passing a lot.

But we got nothing out of Yang and Maeda wide, was like playing 2 men down.
