Tbh, a year ago you’d have made the same joke if I’d said, ‘O’Riley out for £25m and a soon-to-be Belgian international in from the Bundesliga for £11m.’

 

I wouldn’t. I would have said it’s unlikely the board will part with that cash. Engels for £11m makes sense, that’s probably his value…an English player from the premier league for £10 mil doesn’t make sense. Some other prem team will waste £15mil+ on him at the minimum and then another will come in and outbid them for £20mil! Haha we’ve seen the crazy transfers down there so £10mil for a player like chukwuemeka won’t happen and especially not on an 18 month loan. What benefit is that to Chelsea

Rumours on the other site

- we are interested in Swiss international Ruben Vargas from Ausburg who has a contract running down but face competition from Seville amongst others
- there is an 8 figure bid for Kyogo on the table from an EPL Team. Another explains an MLS club wants him too.
- We are watching Kvistgaarden very closely from Brondby.

All listed as just rumours but there does see to be some noise about Kyogo moving on.

 

Really don't want kyogo leaving unless he's decided himself to move on

 

He’s seriously underrated here IMO.

 

Vargas would be a top signing. Wouldn't need bedding in or anything like that..

Has the pace, skill and ability to be a game changer for us..

Doubtful we'd get him if big la liga clubs are in for him mind..

Kyogo I can see leaving us at some point soon. He's 30 next month and we'll be wanting to make some money on him. I'd like is to bring another striker in for 6 months or so before he left though and do think it's a position we could do with a different type option..

 

Signing Vargas and Kvistgaarden would be a major signal of intent from us.

It would pretty much mean Kyogo is gone, but if we're still getting 8 figure bids for him when he's 30, we might be tempted to cash in.

Ideally get the above two and keep Kyogo for another season at least, but I know that's asking a lot.

 

Our pressing amd intensity is rarely as good without him

 

He's just back from a bad injury, looks like he was fully first choice before it.

 

Can take Engels back as payment
