Young Sels who played at RB for Brugge against us is also a LB by trade we should be looking at him.

 

Unfortunately I think that ship has sailed, a lot of massive teams looking at him rn

For a right back/ centre back cover it would be worth looking at FC Copenhagen centre back Kevin Diks. He is vastly experienced but just turned 28 so in his peak years, can play either full back, better on right as is a right footer but being playing centre back. Has had 3 CL campaigns and a couple in the conference league too so played a lot of European football, as well as over 250 games in Eredivisie and Danish top flight. He’s pretty good on the ball and is a bit of a set piece specialist particularly penalties.

His contract is expiring and he wants to move on.

Josh Cullen I think would do a good job for us at CDM.
Pretty sure there was some talk last year we were interested. Don't know how much he would cost though. Still only 28.

 

Marius Broholm, 20 year old winger currently playing with Rosenborg and about to go into the last year of his deal.

He is a left footed right winger and plays very like Kuhn, a fast tricky dribbler with great vision, close control and shooting ability. He would make a good pick up as an understudy rotation option with Kuhn.

He got 8 goals in 29 games and despite not getting credited with an assist, he had over 7 for expected assists meaning that 0 assists was more than likely down to poor finishing from teammates.

He is someone who would do well in an attacking team like ours. He also scores near the top percentile against his peers for successful dribbles shots on target, goals, expected assists, pass competion volume of passes, regains in final third, recoveries, chances created, and boosts impressive pass completion rates for passing overall and long balls.

As well as his playing style reminding me of Kuhn his stats do a bit too.

 

Sverre Nypan is who I want us to get from Rosenberg. He’s gonna go to the very top

Tobias Slotslager is someone I'd be keeping an eye on, only 18 years old and he's already played over 50 games for his club. 6 foot 3 CB.

Currently in the second division of Denmark but has top flight experience, his club are comfortably top so I'd be buying him and loaning him back out to them, contract runs out this summer too.

 

I am sure I saw somewhere we had scouted him?

 

I know we were tentatively linked before, but if Kyogo leaves, Evan Ferguson would be unreal business. I would much rather we get him on a perm though, even if we need to spend mega money.

 

With Forrest out for six weeks and Kuhn injured, and Yang and Palma not looking up to the mark,
Duk of Aberdeen might be the short term answer for the right wing slot, think we could get him for about £1M.

This is baring in mind Taylor does not sign a new contract & Valle heads back to Barca. I would go all in for Tierney & Get Doig as the backup as he would be guaranteed gametime.

 

Nah: he’s right-footed. We should be looking for a left-footer in there - for various reasons. Chief among them is that Kühn is left-footed. Bringing in a right-footer to deputise/compete for that position would mean a totally different approach on that side of the pitch. Kühn’s propensity to come inside is crucial for us.

I rate him but he’s not gonna come if he knows KT will be there. I’d just promote Anderson or frame tbh, both have looked promising
