Arteta is playing him to try and get more money out of us. If they actually wanted him there, they'd have extended his contract by a further year, which they have the option to do. They're not going to do that as he is on 120k. They want shot of him in January 100%.

He’s on a free in the summer, there’s not going to be much of a fee. And add in they’ll want him off the wage bill as well, fighting over an upfront fee and maybe paying an extra 6 months wage for him doesn’t make much sense for them.

More they have a lot of games coming up in quick succession and he’s a reliable option to rest guys.

He will end up at a mid table PL team who can offer him near enough the same wage as He is on just now, ship has sailed, time to move forward, not backwards.

If he could prove to the medical team he can do 2 games a week and has no further problems... yes. But not able to do any of that ... no. He would need a full thorough medical and I mean bone scan density scan the whole lot.

Let’s be honest. If we can get him fit, and keep him fit, we’ve got one of the best left backs in world football. 100% worth the gamble.

Callum McGregor reckons warrior Kieran Tierney would be a quality signing for Celtic as he backed Brendan Rodgers’ push for January reinforcements.

The Hoops boss is considering a January loan move to take the Arsenal star back to Parkhead with a view to a permanent deal in the summer. And McGregor, who spent years as team mates with Tierney for both Celtic and the Scotland national team, knows he’s exactly the type of character required when the going gets tough

The 27-year-old left Celtic for the Gunners in a then-record £25m deal back in 2019. But Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has opted against handing the left back a new deal, opening the door for a Hoops move with Greg Taylor’s contract also up at the end of the season. McGregor said: “I’ve not spoken to Kieran yet but I have seen all the stuff that’s been written. I don't know too much about it - but we're generally the last ones to know.

When someone appears in the building, then we'll go and meet them. He's a quality player. I've been in war with him for a number of years now. He's a good guy and we'll see what happens.”

It's happening innit? Think it's an absolute certainty at this point. What a boost it will be getting him in.

Genuinely think this would be one of the craziest signings we would ever make.

His injury record is that bad, it’s crazy we are even considering it.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, if this was anyone other than Kieran Tierney, the club and the majority of the fan base wouldn’t even be considering this.

His injury record isn’t that bad. I worked out the games played averagely per season since he left. and it’s only a few less than over the 5 seasons he was with us.

posted it a few pages back. It’s just recently he’s had his longest spell out/mixed with not getting games under arteta
