Yeah he missed most of them at the start of last season.

He may get some niggles but he's been fit more often than not. My main gripe is he's not been given a proper chance to prove himself.

If he had and didn't perform then absolutely punt but him and Lagerbielke I feel have been treated poorly.

Aye and then he kept missing spells because he'd picked up more injuries/knocks. Knock after knock with hamstring injuries in-between..

For me he's looked weak, slow, cumbersome and unconvinced in the air. He simply can't be relied upon..

Hopefully he and Lagerbielke can be sold and we can replace them with defenders who are more mobile and more physically imposing..

Aye I get the argument about needing a proper run of games, but the truth is you still want to see an ability to do the basics even in a small sample size.

For me he's looked poor on the ball, a bit clumsy in the challenge (if he didn't pick up a few needless bookings there were certainly some poor free-kicks given away), and not overly convincing in the air either.

Transfermarkt has injury stats and they confirm he missed 6 games to injury that was all last season.

He may have had some niggles but those haven't been keeping him out of squads that's been down to Rodgers.

We've had payers look weak and struggle to adapt before. Just look at Hatate and Kyogo when they arrived bouncing off defenders.

I don't disagree we can likely sign better but neither of the two have been given a fair chance to prove themselves.

Trusty has shown he stuggles with the basics like getting caught under the ball multiple times on his debut but Rodgers will persist because it's his signing and he's stubborn. Would rather we went for an ambitious signing this summer of an older head. Hummels would have cost us less for a years than Trusty

He's missed much more than 6 games due to injury. Transfermarket is wrong.

Grand old team to play for
You think the club gets in touch with Transfermarkt to let them know a player is going to be out for a few games. Their injury data on high profile players, that are first picks for their teams, is probably quite good. But don't think they're paying that much attention to 5th choice CB at Celtic.

Maybe if Rodgers gave an update in a press conference to say he was out injured for a month or two they would pick it up, but he never gets a mention.

His career at Celtic is over if he can’t get a start ahead of Welsh, who bring brutally honest would struggle to get a start for our opponents today.

I don’t know what it is Brendan does or doesn’t see in training, but I find it perplexing.

Whenever Nawrocki played I thought he was * tbh. Not particularly fast, not great at passing and very rash with tackles.

Forgotten Celtic outcast Maik Nawrocki's chances of a return to Poland have been brutally ruled out by Slask Wrocław's sports director.

The Polish stopper has played just five minutes all season - and that was in a Premier Sports Cup tie against Falkirk at home back in September.

Celtic splashed out £4.3 million in July last year to sign Nawrocki from Legia Warsaw and was described as 'very highly-rated' by manager Brendan Rodgers.

However, he managed just seven league starts last term and has been ignored all season.

He was linked last week with a return to his homeland with Slask Wroclaw either on loan or as a permanent deal by reports in Poland.

But that was emphatically ruled out by the club's sports director, Rafał Grodzicki.

He said: "I can assure you that we weren't even interested in this player.

"We have many central defenders in the club and our priority for strengthening are in other positions."

The 23-year-old, who was once on Werder Bremen's books too, still has three-and-a-half years left of his deal at Parkhead and seems certain to leave in January when the transfer window reopens

We likely will have to accept taking a loss on the 4.3m we paid for him but at this point its best if he is moved on in January.

I can imagine wages being an issue. Loan might be best we get and maybe he impresses enough that we can pay that off.

He's another Mark Lawall * signing. He's worse than Lagerbielke.

Good chance your right. I could easily see us that scenario coming to pass although hopefully we get lucky and find someone who badly needs a center back in January and can sell him.

Yeah time to move him on. Rodgers clearly doesn't rate him.

Bang average centre half and one worth taking a bad deal on imo. The type the board will reject a 2.5m bid for, send on loan for 2 years and then lose for free.
