This was chat last season and I said the same thing then as now....
His teammates are being coached a different style than they were under Ange so they very rarely look to play those types of passes now. Whether that style is right or wrong is all abouts opinions but if after 18 months he's still making runs that his teammates are not going to play that's on him.

Managers generally don't change their philosophy or style of play. They change the personnel.

Whatever the reason is, I would think if he doesn't start knocking them in after Christmas, they might to look to ship or phase him out. Coming up for 30 and we paid a lot for Idah who I reckon is more the kind of striker that Rodgers favours.

I'm not in a rush to get rid of a consistent hunskelper. Watching his celebrations, he is still loving it here, so I'd keep him around.

We’re scoring plenty goals. So the style is fine.

This is more than the style of play, it's also the caliber of player.

We have some clever forwards and our midfield either
    a) told to be risk averse and don't play percentage balls (which is not the case given how Hatate tries the spectacular time and time again - which I'm OK with with.
    b) the players aren't switched on enough to see what's ahead of them.

In Kuhns case he has the ability to take the ball from deep and create his own chances. Kyogo doesn't have that luxury.

Kuhn actually should have squared it twice to Kyogo on Sunday. The goals are coming from all over the park though, and plenty of them. So our style of play has been absolutely fine. If that means we aren’t relying on a striker scoring nearly all our goals, I’m not fussed. If our play was to suit Kyogo’s style, it might hinder us overall.

    There was a time a few months back (after Rodgers, disgracefully imo, lambasted Kyogo for dropping back to get involved) when we all thought;

Yes! Its clicked! Either Rodgers is managing Kyogo properly, or Kygo has adapted, but either way its clicking again!

Now it looks like we're sliding back. In that Hun game i counted two CLEAR as day kyogo runs that petered out into nothingness.

Imo its on Rodgers to use the tools at his disposal. If he's going to pick Kyogo to play, then play him right. Get those passes onto his runs ffs. If not, just start Idah. We're wasting, what should be, clear goal scoring opportunities.

Everyone sees his runs at every single game that don’t receive a pass.

As Juco James said on the Huddle Breakdown, he don't have Matt O'Riley feeding him anymore, there's been a huge supply drop off for him due to O'Riley departing, look at Atletico Madrid and Lazio at home last season, the way Kyogo and O'Riley combined, in January we need to sign a far more creative player with a clever eye for a pass to play behind him

A guys talent being wasted in front of our eyes most weeks now . Still chips in with goals and is a threat but what he could be in the right system is frightening . Would flourish in a lower end EPL side that plays on the break and isn't up against a low block every week.

I disagree that its all on Rodgers or the system.

He isn't doing enough on the ball. Just doesn't involve himself enough, it's not as black and white as kyogo being blameless, imo.

Got to try and fit into how we are playing. There's been plenty occasions for me where he isn't even doing the simple stuff well enough. He's always been relatively limited on the ball imo and it probably is being shown up more under Rodgers, aye. But still, I can think of plenty times this season where the chances have been put on a plate for him.and he's still missed, yet it doesn't get brought up. I get that he's bought himself some favour with the support but still, he's not blameless.

Still love the * but he's 30 next month and if we are offered decent money he will be gone. I feel.

He's been playing against a low block his entire celtic career.

Although I think that Juco James guy is a throbber he’s right about MOR leaving effecting Kyogo. They were working on the same wavelength.

However, I’ve no qualms about the wee man doing the business for us for the remainder of the season and beyond. He’ll be another Naka in terms of playing until he’s 40 IMO. Disregarding the shoulder issue which he really should get fixed permanently, he’s got very few miles on the clock for a guy turning 30 next month.

Not good enough. Consistently takes too many chances to score a goal.
