Who could we buy to replace him in January window that would want to come to the fishbowl that is Scottish football.
There are only 3 things that they would come to Celtic for.
1) Playing for Celtic
2) European football guaranteed every season.
3) If a really big salary is offered or a decent salary
knowing they are probably going to bigger league after it

 

Someone similar to AJ perhaps.

He is obviously an important figure in the dressing room which can't be ignored but the fact of the matter is he is very lucky we didn't go 2-0 down on Sunday.
All it means is that other players will have to step up and be 'leaders' if he wants to go.
I do like him and think he can be key when were up against the 11 men behind the ball tactic but we need an upgrade.

If he signed a new deal on the premise that he will be mainly rotation/ back up I would be delighted! But in no way should we be giving him guaranteed starter status. If that's a thing anyway

 

With the KT talk heating up....he must've known a good while ago this was happening..

Going from Tierney to Taylor was * heartbreaking.

Going from Taylor to Tierney will be incredible.

 

Tierney's LB days are finished, he just cannot do it anymore. If we do sign him, it will be as a ball playing right sided center half, there is no way he could hack the demands of playing LB for Celtic.

 

Ofcourse he will, and it'll happen and it'll be * glorious.

Again, he isn't perfect but I think he's taken over from James Forrest as the scapegoat for many fans on here. Has contributed massively over the last few seasons and he's not at fault for the club not properly sourcing and scouting a better left back.

If he does go on a free, hope he's given a cracking send off by the club and the fans at the end of the season. I think it's right that he moves on. I do believe we need to part ways and he's in a good position contractually to really set himself up for life with his new contract, wherever he goes and we are also in a great position, financially, to really push the boat out and upgrade the position in January or the summer.

Likely, he will get the recognition he deserves after he leaves, when KT gets injured in a friendly match in the summer, Valle goes back to Barcelona and we are playing Montgomery at left back in the qualifiers, while scrambling about trying to find a left back in England within budget.
