    This was chat last season and I said the same thing then as now....
    His teammates are being coached a different style than they were under Ange so they very rarely look to play those types of passes now. Whether that style is right or wrong is all abouts opinions but if after 18 months he's still making runs that his teammates are not going to play that's on him.

    Managers generally don't change their philosophy or style of play. They change the personnel.

    Whatever the reason is, I would think if he doesn't start knocking them in after Christmas, they might to look to ship or phase him out. Coming up for 30 and we paid a lot for Idah who I reckon is more the kind of striker that Rodgers favours.

    I'm not in a rush to get rid of a consistent hunskelper. Watching his celebrations, he is still loving it here, so I'd keep him around.

    We’re scoring plenty goals. So the style is fine.

    This is more than the style of play, it's also the caliber of player.

    We have some clever forwards and our midfield either
    a) told to be risk averse and don't play percentage balls (which is not the case given how Hatate tries the spectacular time and time again - which I'm OK with with.
    b) the players aren't switched on enough to see what's ahead of them.

    In Kuhns case he has the ability to take the ball from deep and create his own chances. Kyogo doesn't have that luxury.

    Kuhn actually should have squared it twice to Kyogo on Sunday. The goals are coming from all over the park though, and plenty of them. So our style of play has been absolutely fine. If that means we aren’t relying on a striker scoring nearly all our goals, I’m not fussed. If our play was to suit Kyogo’s style, it might hinder us overall.

    There was a time a few months back (after Rodgers, disgracefully imo, lambasted Kyogo for dropping back to get involved) when we all thought;

    Yes! Its clicked! Either Rodgers is managing Kyogo properly, or Kygo has adapted, but either way its clicking again!

    Now it looks like we're sliding back. In that Hun game i counted two CLEAR as day kyogo runs that petered out into nothingness.

    Imo its on Rodgers to use the tools at his disposal. If he's going to pick Kyogo to play, then play him right. Get those passes onto his runs ffs. If not, just start Idah. We're wasting, what should be, clear goal scoring opportunities.
