They have no answer for him, none. They’ve accepted the inevitability that his work rate and press is going to disrupt their defence and just let it happen.

They don’t even resort to their typical hun tactics barring jersey pulls. He has their number.

    Daizen is unique...truly.

At both ends of the park. What he offers is incredible. When he's off it, I forgive it, as when we need him, he always produces. Especially against the huns.

    Love him.

He may be overtaking Henrik in my lifetime as the head hunskelper.

That has got to be one of the calmest penalties possible in that situation. Like something you would hit on a training pitch into an empty net.

Has to be in the top 5 for most impactful derby players ever. Like, it’s not even funny how much they fear him.

Genuinely when he stepped up to take the penalty my thought was this literally could go anywhere, top bin, out the stadium, corner flag, smashed down the middle or fall over taking it.

The reality he calmly stepped up and rolled the ball into the bottom corner putting the keeper the wrong way in absolute perfect fashion. What a man, and being honest given his form in the tournament this year what a fitting way for that to finish.

Hes only 27 as well about to hit his peak. We need to give him a extended deal. He has 4 years of speed and power in him and im sure he could be efficent even after that as well.

The king would have appreciated that first touch for his goal.

Thinking back to how Goram broke our hearts again and again in the 90s. Daizen must be on that level for them. Just wrecks their hopes and dreams.

I bet he keeps them awake at night.

Can imagine Tavernier waking with the sweat pushing oot him, screaming.. "He's in the room, he's in the room"

    * lovely.

I said it in the Rodgers thread, we hardly won ANY penalty shootouts before BR, never mind against the huns. That's twice we've conceded late in a 3-3 game and still won.

The bigger the game, the more Maeda relishes it. He's completely irreplaceable.

He's everything they hate to face...

He never stops, hardly ever causes fouls - and NEVER bad ones, he's persistent and clinical ENOUGH that they can't leave him alone but so fast and mobile they can't track him, he doesn't dive and only goes down in bad ones so they can't get away with fouling him

    He's like a custom-made Hun skelper...
