I don't think they played well at all tbh.

Maybe green tinted specs, but they clearly set up to capitalise on our mistakes. To be fair to them, it worked, but outside that I thought we were the better team, despite how terrible we were.

Cerny had another absolute stinker against us, Igamane done nothing too. I actually thought Tavernier was their best player by far.

 

Said the same during the game, he’s the only player that gives us pace in the midfield plus he will get stuck into a battle.

 

Neither team were great but they were just hatchet men. They deserved nothing. Balogun should have been off in the first half. Them getting 8 bookings gives the impression he punished them but he didn't really.

 

We played our game for about 10/15mins 2nd half then subs killed our momentum and the slack play came back in.

Rodgers needs to change the system a bit as teams are now finding it easier to nullify us by going man for man with our midfield and full backs. If we had played with our quality and confidence from the start today we would of ripped their press to shreds, but if we are slow and passive we are far too predictable.

 

That was a rollercoaster eerily similar to the Aberdeen semi-final last year. We didn't look comfortable. Gave away very cheap goals. We looked lethargic at times and kept playing team mates into trouble. And yet despite all that we won the cup. That is the sign of a serious team. It really does feel great to once again put them in their place and see how distraught they are. In the 90's we had many a game like that against them.

Great save by Schmeichel to win it as well. What a keeper.

Only 1 team tried to play football..they waited to capitalise on a mistake to break on us... chasing us the way they did you could see in extra time how badly they tired.

They were wasting time constantly at 3-3, they knew penalties was their best shot even with us being below par. I hope this * scunners them as much as it possibly can.

Totally, they were set-up as all the other teams. Fall back and attack us. However when we play them at their midden, they cannot sit back. The hordes wont allow that. The pressure will be huge on them to win that one to salvage anything from the season. We are 11 ahead, we can play more freely.
