Genuinely think we’re a better team now than under Ange. Defensively I think we’ve got a much more versatile approach too and it’s paid off well in Europe.

If this team gets a left winger that can come in to compete with Maeda and make a big impact it could be a very memorable season.

We’re very lucky to have him.

We need to continuously back him.

The squad, although strong still isn’t at the required level to match his ambitions.

Couple of injuries in the wide areas and the drop off is massive.

For those who are in love.....
All the subs made an impact really..

    Taylor got the assist
Idah was a handful and unlucky no to score
    McCowan decent wee cameo
Thought Forrest played some lovely blind passes ghat split open their midfield when he came inside
Engels kept us up the park and won us a foul or two

Felt with the changes we really started to turn it on the later the game went..

I still think there's more to come from him/us over the next couple windows as well. Been phenomenal overall..

Defensively we can withstand way more pressure and no buckle than we have possibly in my lifetime with this side (that Dortmund shambles aside)..

Plenty other years/teams and we'd have caved in and lost at Atalanta. We'd have definitely dropped points at Rugby Park. Would've lost to Brugge without a doubt. Definitely concede tonight..

We're more robust and complete....even when we're no at our best..

To his credit what he’s done really well is adapt his own style to work with the excellent team Ange was building.

Hatate, Kyogo, Maeda, CCV, AJ all key players for Rodgers but assembled by Ange and that’s before we mention O’Riley. Taylor also changed his game as an Ange player and Rodgers kept that going.

I’m genuinely surprised and impressed that Rodgers has changed his style so much compared to how he used to play. It makes him a better manager. Not an easy thing to do.

Brendan Rodgers has insisted the title race is "nowhere near done" despite a significant lead over both Aberdeen and Rangers.

Celtic claimed a 1-0 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to seven points.

Rodgers' side also have a game in hand over closest rivals Aberdeen, while they are 11 points clear of Rangers with both clubs having played 14 times this term.

Despite the healthy lead in the title race, Rodgers has insisted there is no thought of the league crown being wrapped up already, even if some supporters have written off challengers.

"Well, there's 38 games so it's nowhere near done," Rodgers told BBC Sportsound.

We're just over maybe a third of the season so...no, I understand people will look at it that way but for us there is such a long way to go.

"This is a really busy period for us, we are trying to maximise the squad, get through the games, play well and keep looking to our next game.

"There is no thought of that in our mind but the players have started the season in a brilliant fashion and we just want to keep it going."

Asked whether the task now was to keep players focused and not become complacent, Rodgers added: "It's not the challenge. Of course, you have to stay on top of it but our culture is very much winning.

"We know we have to work hard in our training and in our games and the players are doing that."

The Invincible season looked nearly impossible to replicate or better, but more than a third way through the season, well on course for matching or even bettering it, still a long, long, long way to go of course, but Brendan sure does love setting Invincible standards

Since pre season, to have lost only once all season so far to Dortmund, is absolutely * mental!

The draw with Aberdeen was a freakish game we should have won comfortably and would be on 14/14 . Some * job he is doing.

Ange's transfer business will never be beaten though. Ridiculous in the market , we are still reaping the benefits now.

Nah, was at it. A draw was the right result. Almost lost it at the end.

Perfectly summed up mate. He's given this group a slightly new direction while also maintaining what was good about the way they played under Ange, shored us up at the back and playing with unreal confidence. That Atalanta game was crucial really, the belief and resilience surged in that group of players after that.

Hope we keep building on this fantastic start.

His first window and the January one with Maeda and Hatate aye.

He signed a fair few duds mind you. Getting rid of Jenz for Kobayashi was still bizarre to this day.

I think Rodgers so far has done well from January onwards this year..last summer was clearly influenced by recruitment issues.

Forrest was good even for the short time he was on.

Again that's why a winger like him instead of Maeda out there can really help as the latter just isn't as comfortable or good at beating players consistently whilst controlling the ball.

I hope he is backed in January, we don’t need a large number of players in but a couple of bits of quality could help keep our momentum going.

Particularly another top performing winger would mean we could properly rotate those positions too whilst not losing much, similar to Idah up top and the options in midfield.

Next week is a massive week two wins there and what a start to the season it will have been.

I was thinking about the upcoming transferwindow. I think we are in a comfortable position at the moment to bring good talents and have them developing in a good steady pace. Because inevitably CCV, Hatate and Kuhn will be going. So it would be great to have their replacements already in the team for next season. Get them game time in the 2nd half of the season.

Agreed bud, 100%. We're in a really good place and safe hands under a top coach who I think has actually improved a lot since his last stint..

Aye I was saying exact same last night mate. Ideally we get a creative type on the left, loan out Yang and bring in a different option to compete with Kuhn on the right. Them have Forrest as that wee cameo option for both sides..

I don't think we'll get both in January so the left sided version for me..

The good thing is Rodgers is already quite open about adding more quality in Jan.. which is really good to hear..

We need to sort out the LB position, regardless of Taylor's contract situation. Valle probably won't be here for next season's CL Qualifier..

I would love to wee 2 x quality wingers brought in too. If we can sell Palma and loan Yang.. probably a bit too much to ask..

I also think we may struggle to hold on to Johnston so a contingency is required there.
