Putting aside the controversy of his recent material, I love the way Dave Chappelle tells jokes.

Aye - the life-saving pig joke is one that everybody could learn and tell, but not...properly.

Frankie Boyle on Mock the Week probably provided me the most laughs in my life. Scenes you'd like this see was perfect for his type of humour. Sean Lock was brilliant as well, and always enjoyed Jimmy Carrs quick wit and one liners.

Went to a comedy show locally and a guy called Geoff Norcott was hilarious - hadn't heard of him and loved his set.

Billy Connolly will always be the king of comedy though!

Doug Stanhope. He's the only stand-up I've ever wanted to see live and we've seen him twice in Glasgow now. Last gig had been delayed for ages because of covid then some poor * in England missed out because one of his gigs was scheduled for the day Scabby Bess died so the venue was closed that night. Sooner we become a republic the better.

It used to be Frankie Boyle until he started with that BBC accent.

Kevin Bridges is brilliant but he's just not that active.

In terms of US comedians, I like Dave Chappell and Shane Gillis. Theo Von is hilarious, probably funnier off the cuff about random topics on podcasts than his actual stand up.

Been watching a lot of Sam Kinnison lately.

Same kinda of style pretty much in all his routines, but some of it is * hilarious.

It’s been a while since I’ve watched some Billy Connolly. He’s certainly one of the legends and I loved his bit about the old firm back in the day. “In my sincere opinion, football violence will never end, not long as they are shiteing in our shoes and we’re pishing in their bovril”,
That joke has layers to it and he builds up the story. His stand up is unforgettable, probably a bit before my time to see him when he was younger but I see old footage of him and he looked very enthusiastic and seemed to love telling his jokes. can’t forget big yin.
