aye I watched that recently Naka, a good film with understated scenes like the torture/murder of an escaped servant by his 'master' as culmination of a party, unreal.

Strange Darling. Pretty mental but enjoyed it. The hotel room scene nearish the start my Mrs was asking what the * I'd put on, and was kinda thinking the same for a but it ended up developing into a decent story, few twists.

    Heretic

Fantastic film. Hugh Grant is very good in this, and it's well written, clever, thoughtful, menacing, charming and funny. Trailer is a bit misleading, more of a psychological thriller than a horror. Highly recommend.

    Speaking f highly recommend...

    Conclave

Another well written, tense and enthralling with superb performances from the cast, headed by Ralph Fiennes. There are more than a few twists in this, which makes for an intriguingstory, but for the final one which just happens and monologues, but thereafter doesnt change anything ultimately, but overall was hooked from go to woah.

    Anora

Another really good movie, but it feels kind of like a movie very much in three distinctive parts... Pretty Woman, becomes Where's Wally? etc. My biggest gripe is with the resolution at the end. Have sat through it twice now, and both times have been left a bit bemused and uncertain about the last scene.

It's on Amazon Prime now, for anyone who hasn't caught this movie yet. One of the top 5-6 of the year so far. :50:

Conclave.............a well acted slow burner, but the ending ruined it for me tbh, such a pity. 6/10

‘Assault on Precinct 13’ - (1976) - I’d forgotten how eerie and good this film was!

    Juror no 2 ..................4/10

Too many plot holes, this should've been so much better.

if you can overlook that needless twist at the end that doesn’t go anywhere anyway, I thought it was generally pretty good, especially the acting.

Thought this was ok. Very clearly whoever wrote this was watching ‘12 Angry Men’ and thought, what if… as the very clear inspiration for this movie. Solid and serviceable film (which is still better than so many others out there) but not top tier Eastwood.
