Bar for the own goal by Cameron Carter Vickers, we were winning that game. I think that shock own goal knocked the stuffing out of our team, until Maeda's wonder goal. I don't think they looked like scoring themselves, our defense snuffed them out.

I never at any time felt the point felt like a defeat.

It was a hard earned point against a team that dismantled Villa.

When they review this game I would honestly show a montage of all the 50/50s we lost and how many times we were second to the ball. If you turn over even just a few of them I reckon we win comfortably. I've never seen us lose quite so many, or at least that's how it felt.

We would win headers comfortably but inexplicably it would land perfectly at their feet and we'd be on the backfoot. They would miscontrol the ball with 2 Celtic players round them and still get our of it and be on the attack. The one or two times we won the ball we nearly scored.

Maybe it's because of the way they play but Brugge's mentality seemed to be to win those balls where we seemed liked we were caught cold. We need to address that the remaining 3 games.

No. It never used to be so relentlessly toxic. There was always an element of encouragement and a genuine effort to back the team.

Now fans are so entitled that if we’re not winning after 20 mins or so, or playing poorly, they’re on the players backs giving them dog’s abuse at times. It’s crap.

That Depeche Mode when we score!!
If we were told we would draw 1-1 against Leipzig and beat Club Brugge 3-1 before those 2 fixtures all of us on here would have been more than delighted. So it happened the other way round, pretty dam good if you ask me. I look forward to at least 4 more points in the last 3 games if not more.

    Couldn't disagree more..

We were extremely fortunate to draw the game.. they did score and was a fraction offside.. they missed a couple of really good chances too. With Schmeichel having to make an excellent save.. and the boy misses a sitter at the back post..

We were definitely outplayed for large segments of the match..

Best team we'd played so far.
(Dortmund were just lucky with those freak ricochettes giving them 2 cheap goals + our general * up/collapse tactically)

A very good result on the day.
Now beat the Young Boys and we should be in a good place (anything more than 3 pts from the remaining 3 gams would be a welcome bonus)

Considering Brugge are Belgian and Belgium have been one of the highest ranked countries in FIFA and UEFA rankings for years none of the Belgian teams in UEFA competitions should be underestimated.

Tbh I felt like on far too many occasions we looked like we've lost feeling of our own home surface.
Even Maeda (with the obvious pace in him) was second to quite a few balls he should've been comfortable getting in front of any * (at least that's how it looked on the screen)

Draw with Zagreb away and beat Young Boys at home will give us 12pts going into final match against Villa.
Beat those English * will be brilliant.

No chance, dortmund without a doubt best team we’ve played so far. You don’t get lucky if you win 7-1. You earn that

Daily Record saying "Maeda got us out of jail". Do they not know that we were playing a top team in the CHAMPIONS league and not some wee diddy mid table team. If the Huns draw tonight you can bet the * polishers from the smsm will see it as a brilliant result and some sort of tactical genius inspired point in Europe

You are correct to a small degree but my general point is irrespective of performance the vast majority don’t contribute in any way to the atmosphere, that was certainly not the case until recent times, that was shone a massive light on that game when the GB were banned for a CL game & the place was like a morgue with literally hardly a song sang all night, I remember going to many poor European games in the past & still thinking at least it was a great experience, I don’t get that now, if others do then fair enough but as someone that has been watching European games since the early 80s that’s my take and I’m not going to play all deluded on this issue!

Singing used to break out sporadically throughout the stadium.. doesn't happen now everyone waits for the GB/Bhoys to start..

They were definitely the better team leading up to the own goal, but it wasn’t like Schmeichel was having to make save after save. On the balance of play they deserved to go in front though. They probably should have wrapped the game up after half time in fairness. A great save from Schmeichel and a woeful finish at the back post kept us in it. After Maeda scored though, we definitely looked the more likely to get a winner without really making their keeper make a save. Similar to what Brugge done prior to taking the lead. A draw was maybe slightly fortunate, but stats would suggest it was probably the correct result.

Exactly how i look at it as well mate, 4 points from Leipzig and Brugge is a great return and we will more than likely qualify now.

Was absolutely gutted at full time yesterday but more accepting of it today.

We didn't play well in the CL against a side who beat just villa and are much more recently experienced in the competition than us but still managed to not loose.

It can't all be pretty, we've still got a real good chance. Young Boys should see us through and we should be battering them.

I would agree with that assessment. We were not good at all in the first half but for all that Brugge rarely looked like scoring and of course the og by CCV was beyond bizarre. While I felt we were clearly the better team for a large chunk of that second half and looked more threatening then they did when they were on top in the first half. Of course a win would have been ideal but the point was not a bad result at all against what is a very decent Brugge side.

This is the sort of game years gone by we would have lost after the own goal by 2/3 with our heads going down. This team has grown up a lot this season.

Let's be honest Brugge were the better team and deserved the win. But positives are us at our worst performance at home in years still got a draw against a really smart and well drilled team.

A lot of the time it felt much more like Brugge were allowing us to have possession rather than keeping it.

Point was a good result in the end.
