I thought the same. Schemeichel was too far out his goal, and CCV anticipated him being on or near his line, though he did pass it back blindly.

So I am going 50/50 blame on both CCV and Schemeichel.

 

Probably his first mistake

You can clearly tell it's an honest mistake in judgement, rather than a poor/* footballer who's prone to *.

We all make them at times, we move on.

It was an awful own goal but it's not like he has a regular brain fart. He's still quality.

 

Canny believe someone is trying to blame Schmeichel. CCV is the one in control of the ball and has passed it without looking. What do folk watch at times.

 

Watched Kasper basically sit in the stands with me. It’s definitely 50/50.

If Kasper is so far out his goal (which he never needed to be, even to show for Kuhn) then we aren’t talking about a blind pass.

 

It’s not 50/50. It’s on CCV. He is the one in control of the ball. He has played a blind pass. Passing it blind in between the posts is something you are told at school level not to do. It’s his first real big mistake for us however.

Kasper said it himself that's what was happening. It's pretty common for a goalkeeper to do that.

 

I felt so sorry for him he looked like he wanted to burst into tears after it happened

 

Its happens! Brush it off, have a laugh eith your team mates about it and turn the page. We got a point in the end. In days gone by we would have absolutely collapsed.

 

CCV has probably played that pass 1000 times in training and Kasper was always there to get it... It's like some people have forgotten the actual concept of what a mistake/accident are...

He knows he * up. Kasper will understand too why he's done it. Rodgers will grimace about it and then shrug it off...

Annoyingly, sometimes, * just happens! We move on!

 

The O/G was a monumental * up from our midfield. CCV and Kasper are the last players i'd be pointing the finger at.

1. Nobody was moving/showing to take the ball from Kohn and in fairness Brugge cut off the passing lanes well and were bang on with their pressing triggers.
2. Kasper was forced into that position as he was trying to create an angle for Kuhn, who again should never have been put in that position to start with.
3. CCV has been a monster for us and bailed us out so many times. He gets a bye automatically for a rare error on that basis.

 

Definitely on CCV, but Schmeichel's positioning was poor too.. he moved into a space behind the attacker, blocking Kühn, leaving no chance of finding him with a pass..

 

I mean to give CCV credit he made it difficult for the keeper even if he had been better positioned.

 

I was just surprised CCV, changed his goalscoring boots..
