He should be back up the way Ralston is if we are.serious about kicking on. Great lad , hard worker and a good player.for us domestically. But miles out of his depth in Europe.
The boy Valle really looked decent when he came on .

 

He's been a good signing for us but I think it might be time for him to move on after this season.

 

Think he will be away, we've been offering contract extensions out left right and centre to our first team players, except for Teabag.

 

Aye the longer it goes on the more likely it is he'll be leaving.

 

Is that no because he simply can't play the way the manager wants his fullbacks to play, so Rodgers has kinda adapted a bit and still let him play how Ange did?

 

Nah man, few times now he's made his way into the centre to back up CM's (I'd say more to back up Callum who gets zero support from Engels and Hatate, but that's just me).

 

He must be doing that under orders surely?

Rodgers initially tried to play him as an out and out fullback last season and it wasn't working at all. He then adapted and left Taylor play the inverted role more..

I think ideally Rodgers would want an overlapping fullback in with pace/an engine..

No arguments about how open our midfield looked..

Oh aye it's definitely an instruction like.

I just think that extra role is hindering his defensive duties, that and the fact he's no a very good defender

Watch that Olsen chance back second half. Inexcusable for a fullback to see the whole picture from the ball getting swung in in Johnston's side with his man near him, then running off to go with Trusty's man and leaving the big gaping space....for the ball to go over his head and should've been 2 nil..

You could go through a whole catalogue of him doing the exact same thing last season that resulted in goals..

 

Och ano mate, i actually dont mind him THAT much because I know you get max effort from him week in week out despite his obvious flaws.

 

His marking at back post, again, was non existent.
Leaving the space for Brugge volley as he marked empty space was desperate.

The way be constantly backs off players and allows them to move freely into the box is unacceptable.

Get Valle in.

 

He’s grand against St.Mirren or against Aberdeen for 30 minutes when we’re 4-0 up, but when we play in Europe we need so much better.

Rodgers should never have started him.

 

BR wants him to stay but surely we need better. The LB position has been our weakness particularly in the CL. Time to let Taylor go and replace with better quality.

 

The amount of space he offered their winger throughout the match was infuriating, his positioning in general was abysmal too, we were far more secure when Valle came on.

 

So is the tea lady. Wouldn’t want her starting games and trying to kid us all on that she’s a left-back either.
