First of all - he’s young and has plenty of time to bring something to the club

However in the last 3/4 games at least he’s been rank rotten. Against Hearts he was brutal and a man down. Tonight, again, he was an empty jersey. He 100% needs to be dropped. Sit on the bench a while and look at what Bernardo is offering Arne.

Constantly gives the ball away, offers zero creativity, does * all defensively, doesn’t take up good positions and his set pieces have been rotten for weeks.

again, I’m not writing him off but he needs to work on his game and sit on the bench a while.

 

Engels needs to turn up first tbf.

 

I get where you're coming from, but I don't think Hatate done a single thing right all game, genuinely could have cost us with some his passing and play.

and aye, that's a few poor games from Engels now, but I'm starting to shift the blame from him to Rodgers, he's been poor for a while now yet Rodgers keeps starting him.

We have two very good CM'S on the bench to play instead of him and Rodgers is persisting with him in midfield. It's doing far more damage to Engels than a spell on the bench would.

 

A spell on the bench would do him good I feel

 

Shites out of tackles & looks to just be a general shitebag who goes hiding. Not seeing it at all with him. Shocking from the manager to keep starting him imo.

 

He was terrible, let’s be honest.

But it’s early days and he’s a young player. Not helped out by McGregor and Hatate tonight. Three of them were shocking in different ways.

 

Rodgers can’t keep persisting, huge price tag or not he’s a passenger at the minute and yeah , he may come good eventually but what message is it sending to the rest of the team.

It’s also massively unfair to Bernardo who tbh has every right to be * off if he doesn’t start the next game. Fair play to PB though, seems to just crack on when called upon.

 

Let him come on as an impact sub and regain his confidence a bit. He’s struggling for it at the moment, as many players have in the past.

 

Starting to lose patience wae him. Wanted * all to do with the game, sauntering about looking like he's been put on to play against his will.

Get him benched ASAP as whatever he/we are doing is not working.

I dont really know what hes good at, wish we had of spent £11m on a real defensive midfielder and pushed mcgregor further forward.

Bernardo needs to start a run of games now!

 

Left McGregor isolated at the base of midfield far too often in the first half. Would be fine with benching him for the weekend.

I still think he needs to be cut a bit of slack though, Rodgers said when he came in he wasn't the finished article.

 

This is more concerning than the lack of form for me.

Seen him and Hatate bottle several tackles tonight and at Tynecastle.

Completely unacceptable.

 

Don't get his attitude. CL tie against his former club, chance to show the folks back home what he can do.......yet nothing. Poor passing but worse still didn't look interested. Needs benching until his form, and more importantly his attitude, improves. Mad to think that our record signing is currently our 5th best CM out of 5.

 

We should still absolutely go out and buy a top class DM.

 

His attitude is bad, I think he needs an attitude adjustment actually. We will be very lucky to get our £11M back on him.
