Needs hooked. Pulled out of the spotlight. He’s getting worse with every game.

 

The midfield is the engine room of the team but he is like a back boiler.

 

I have seen him hiding in plain sight, running behind players so can't accept a pass...honestly haven't seen that before from a cektic midfielder, he's absolutely * it

 

Needs a wake-up. He should be living for nights like this. If he's not subbed at HT he's a very lucky lad.

Needs a seat for a few weeks

 

We can all talk about him coming onto a game and all of his technical attributes getting better the more comfortable he feels in Scotland.

However, I'm really worried about his mentality. Seems to be hiding for me and shirking responsibility in the middle of the park.

 

Don't like what I'm seeing one bit..

A young full Belgian international up against the club he came through, on the biggest stage....and that's what he's coming up with? Just hanging out wide doing fuckall..

Needs offloaded to be brutally honest. I would be looking to get our money back on him already based on his lack lustre performances. I get the feeling he has failed to integrate with the rest of the team, and it is showing.

 

The media in Belgium slated him for his international performances .

Can't see what harm a couple of weeks off what do and there has to be a fair route into the team for Bernardo and McCowan. I sense if we swapped around price tags, Engels would be third in the pecking order.

Hopefully bernardo comes on sooner rather than later tonight

He wasn't anywhere near as bad as Hatate was, but that was another poor game from him.

It's really poor coaching from Rodgers to continually play him, it's blatantly clear he's not getting out of this slump anytime soon.

Bernardo 100% needs to start away to Zagreb, Pittodrie and at the weekend, inexcusable not to.

 

It might be we sell him for 30 zillion quid further down the line but at the moment he just isn't a better player than Bernardo.

 

Apart from his first few games, he looks like a nothing player.

Will judge him at the end of the season but he can't keep starting games.

 

It’s a nonsense that he’s starting every game. Bernardo is, currently, a far better player.

For the money we spent on him, have to say he’s been a huge let down so far. And that’s being generous.

He wasn't as noticeably bad as Hatate but that's because Reo didn't hide, for all he did wrong. Engels just stayed high and wide and made no effort to get involved. So, so poor.
