I’ve not jumped on Engels to date but he’s been absolutely * rank rotten for at least two or three games running now. Get him off for Bernardo.

Still in the game but need to improve rapidly. Midfield 3 look a bit flat footed and other than a couple of Kuhn runs we are pretty predictable going forward. Need to mix it up a bit.

 

That's honestly up there with one of the most embarrassing first half performances I've seen in the CL.

Even take the goal aside, we have been absolutely woeful.

I get that he can't help us scoring that type of calamitous own goal, but Rodgers has to take a lot of blame here, switching wingers early on which clearly stifled our play and starting a very out of form Engels and Taylor over players who have been excellent in Bernardo and Valle.

Another 45 minutes to go but if we even play half as bad as that, we have no chance of winning. I'd honestly take a draw at this point.

Would be making changes straight away at half-time, I know he won't but it's what we desperately need.

 

I think he's going to come good but he hasn't done enough to deserve to come out after half time.

Not a great half but we know we can play better. Not enough from Engels for me though. Bernardo coming off the bench is the option. Decision making at times is really poor. Kyogo working as hard as I've seen him recently.

If Rodgers can tactically improve things in the second half then fair play to him because Brugge are clearly a very well organised team.

 

Couldn't agree more. So frustrating.

 

We look tired. The press is non existent. They have targeted McGregor and there is always a man on him, he can't get free and it is causing us major problems. Engels is way off it. He needs to be taken off.
