I think it will be a very close game.

Going for 2-2 but wouldn't surprise me if us or Brugge nicked it.

Their captains called Hans Vanekin, sounds like a rubbish star wars character that never made it

This will be every bit as tough as the Leipzig game, don’t think there’s a whole lot between them tbh and what makes this game even more difficult is the expectation that we’ll now get a result. If we play as well as we did against Leipzig I’m confident we’ll get a win but it’ll take that level of performance.

Would love to see Kuhn and Maeda both really light up the stadium tonight

If those two can really get at the defence we could hopefully see Kyogo getting a goal or two today.

I don't think they will let their heads drop in the same way Leipzig did, simply because in this new format Brugge aren't anywhere near in the same position as them.

But if we get ahead for HT then keep up the levels we've shown against Atalanta and Leipzig, I really hope it gets us another win.

I'd argue winning tonight would be bigger than the Leipzig game, as it's one thing to maybe do it as a one off in a single game, but to get a draw away to Atalanta, beat Leipzig then beat Brugge is showing a level of consistency I don't think we've ever seen in any CL format.

Aside from Dortmund if Rodgers can pull a win out the bag and scrap a few more points together in the remaining games I will happily eat my words that Rodgers learns nothing from skuddings he's received in Europe

Going for a 4-1, I'm just really confident that we'll do them. They are a good team but we are at full strength, have the fans and are playing some really good football just now.

Watching back the highlights of their CL games and some league fixtures.

The worries are they are good at pressing teams trying to play out. They don’t press all the time but when they do they are effective at it.

Their two wingers are very good at coming in and getting shots off. Like us they both come in on their stronger feet. I addition, they have some good shooters from distance particularly Tzolis the left winger, who will shoot on sight and has intelligent movement. Skov Olsen vs Taylor is the thing of nightmares for us being honest, a tall, powerful winger who wants to come inside on his stronger left foot.

Reasons for optimism, they look like they leave space beyond their full backs who are two very talented but very young players who are more interested in attacking. They also can be caught trying to play out from the back, again all good players but can be a little loose at times and cough up counter attacking situations.

Cut backs could be key for us, goals like our second against Leipzig and midfield runners arriving to get shots off. They don’t seem to pick these runs up well where you are attacking wide and someone makes a late run to around the edge of the box and gets a first time shot off.

Set pieces, they don’t look too clever defending their box at corners or crosses into the box despite being a fairly big team. Their keeper isn’t good at crosses either.

Its a hard one to call. The Brugge fans are as confident as we are. They are on a good run. Team seems to click the mast few weeks. They dont score very easy. But hard to brake down as well. Beat Villa and Anderlecht in the pas month or so. But their away form aint the greatest! Only drew 2-2 against the bottom club. So they are defo for the taking away from home. Eventhough they won 7-0 in the weekend, they dont score easy though.

on a personal note, i live 14km from Brugge. This is their heartland, so we need to win! Otherwise I cannot show my face for the next few days!

Going to the gym shortly in my 67 hoops shirt, wearing the Adidas originals hoodie on the way to the gym.

He is their Calmac though. Their most consistent and mainstay players of the last 10 years… lad has an eye for space, goals and assists. His downfall is his speed. And he tends to get a bit whiny at times.

Just hope we can get that consistency, we've only lost one game this season, so that gives us confidence going in to this one..

All 3 Japanese players will be absolutely crucial, again tonight..

We just need to be extremely careful of their quick counter attacks..

A win sets us up beautifully, hope you and we have a magic night.. :50:

Id give us 60-40% anyway. We are maybe the strongest since I supported us, 93-ish! Think we are stronger then the MoN years. And Brugge are okay, but certainly not better then us. Beside Parkhead will be bouncing and electric, no Belgian team even comes close with atmosphere like paradise!
